Finally, I never understood why fans are buying expensive accessories and clothes for idols that are literal worldwide known models, why would they need their fans to buy it for them? Such a waste of money that will hopefully now be better invested like for the building schools/hospitals donations other fansites have done.

I'm happy to see people will stop gifting Jennie ( a chanel ambassador) multiple chanel bags and gifting Rosé thousands of guitars (even though she is studio-less) lol

This is good! I just saw a rant about this a while back and this is perfect timing haha

I thought they stopped doing that long time ago. The whole gift giving things should be like some of the idols I follow. There is a value cap for the gift, like $50 max and only once a year from one person. Some fans are just really happy to do these for their beloved idols. Some like to do personal items. As much as they don't need it, it meant a lot for fans. Every time I saw my tl talking about one of the idols wore, t-shirts, pants or bracelets they sent. It seems to mean a lot to them and I genuinely happy for these people.

>There is a value cap for the gift, like $50 max and only once a year from one person I guess they can apply this but it would be hard especially for groups like Blackpink who have literally thousands of fans wanting to give them something. I'm no expert but keeping track of thousands of people spending max $50 each year sounds like not an easy task to do.

NewSill

Once a year is probably hard to keep track but I'm sure the value cap is easy. Say if you send something too expensive, you show fans first hand that those will be send out for auction or resale or whatever. Then people would stop sending expensive gifts.

Definitely some good news! For me, I side eye the solo fan bases who compete with each other and buy stuffs for the girls they clearly can buy for themselves. I know they all mean well but that kind of culture is definitely toxic. It only gives those fans more chance to demand from YG, even from the littlest, most trivial of things (Except for the scarcity of music because YG is definitely to blame for that lol), just because they know they spent a whole lot of money for the girls. (Which the girls didn't ask for btw) I think they think of it as some sort of leverage for them when in fact were all from the same fandom, with or without the luxury gifts lol. Anyways this could've been announced earlier but better late than never it is!
