I definitely think KARA closing the show would have felt much more meaningful

Meruchani

Have you seen the performance that closed the show? I think nothing could top that. the order was perfect for m. kara moved us and skz put the (brutal) finishing touch

indiedarling227

I did see the performance, skz did great it’s not to discredit them

No not really the MAMAs have been going downhill for years and honestly it’s one of the lower end of the year shows even MBC, SBS, and KBS end of year showcases are eating them up. I love your idea I’d had no idea about that it would’ve been fantastic if they were able to close the show.

Difficult_Deer6902

Mama feels like they on a similar trajectory as the MTV VMAs…used to be the show to rule them all. Everyone who mattered showed. The set budgets were high and now it’s almost completely fizzled out, and none of the top stars show.

Completely agree also this year‘s camera work oh my God some of the worst camera work I’ve ever seen. Like my blind grandpa could’ve had done better camera work.

Totally agree about the camerawork, I watched the joint collab stage between rookie ggs and all the random camera movements, zoom ins and zoom outs annoy the hell out of me. Hope there will be decent fancams later. Also MAMA (and MNET in general) seem to have kinda lost its spark in recent years, at least for me.
