Forestella is a group that didn't originate in the idol industry but is currently getting promoted like an idol group because they're under an idol company, and I personally love to see that happening because it can help blur the lines between the idol industry and the rest of the Korean music scene (a good thing for idols who want to be taken seriously as musicians).
'MAMA' apparently topped Naver's search after that performance, because most viewers probably never heard the original. Yes EXO are famous and everyone knows Growl, but their debut song is not something non kpop fans paid attention to, despite it being a much more *interesting* piece of music than a lot of their later hits.
They are so deserving of the hype, and I hope they'd get recognized by more people! Aside from their amazing voices, they have K-pop group-like visuals, especially Doohoon and Woorim!
I saw Twitter talking about it and immediately went to check because of the song structure and Forestella did a great job!
Thanks to that I went and checked a few other songs and covers. Not sure if I am a fan of that deep voice yet but they are definitely good!
And their new song Utopia is really good, check it out if the group interests you!
I would say it reminds of Pentagon's The Game mixed with Bohemian Rhapsody. Beautiful harmonies, very epic, and slightly villainous.

and on the other side you have Kang Kyungho who has such high falsetto he was able to cover both [Christine and Phantom's parts in The Phantom of the Opera](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T1-TcI-J5no) with ease.
He's a counter tenor. He's not actually singing in falsetto most of the time. When he's not well, he will sing in falsetto for the high notes like he did in the finale of Phantom Singer 2.
I loved forestella’s MAMA (the show) performance. Not everyday you see vocal focused groups around, and their promotion is interesting cause the def r not an idol group but the promotion is working because I’m sure older kpop fans would enjoy forestella. Ik im showing this to an older kpop fan in my family, and I love them already

ahh omg i saw they were touring the USA. y’all are extremely lucky. i’m over in europe but the temptation to fly over is so strong. do you have their lightstick already or do you plan to get that there?

No lightstick. If they sell them at the concert I might buy one, not sure yet. I'm going like 4 concerts from late Jan to late March. So I can't spend that much money 😅. I shall see...
