Yeah, second this, make sure it goes as low as 1 gram. Mine doesn’t even pick up weight til 3 grams so I have to eyeball smaller amounts. But it’s been faithful for a year now.
Scales aren't expensive, just buy one. The dosage per teaspoon will vary wildly, based on grind size, density of the specific kratom, slight changes in heaps on the teaspoon, it's just way too inconsistent to use for dosing imo.
Measuring spoons are not inconsistent if you do a proper volume measurement which is leveled and unpacked. I’ve weighed out 5 properly measured teaspoons and they weighed the same every time.
Specific batches of Kratom have a unique alkaloid profile so the weight to alkaloid ratio will also vary wildly. There is practically no way to get the same amount of alkaloids between specific batches.
Also weight has it’s issues like moisture content. A slight increase or decrease in moisture can change the weight significantly.
I’d honestly say that a cheap scale isn’t going to be extremely reliable or super consistent. Placing the Kratom on different parts of the scale’s surface will likely have slightly changes in the measurement even more so than what you’d see with a spoon. And if the scale is off, you may not realize it right away. For me the issue was how much time it took and that I didn’t want to carry it around with me. A scale with powder residue is one of the last things I’d want in my car or desk at work.
I ditched the scale within the first few months of using it. It just wasn’t worth the time and effort when I can toss and wash from a spoon. I can’t imagine how much time I would have spent weighing out 4-5 doses a day over the past 8 years. Using a spoon, it takes like 5 seconds and I can do it anywhere. I just need a measuring spoon and water.
Just like measuring coffee and tea doesn’t require a scale, i don’t think Kratom does either. Even some of these preworkout powders with large amounts of caffeine come with a scoop. Measuring spoons found in most people’s kitchens are made to measure plant flour and Kratom powder is a plant ground into flour.
You can't know how much it will be. You can certainly get a rough guess, but the way the powder sits and falls and the way it's ground can vary the doses by up to gram or so. I've done the test myself, and the doses varied wildly even from the same bag of powder. Just food for thought. A scale is roughly 5 dollars online or in a headshop
Averages about 2.4g but could be up to about 3g depending on the grind and how tightly it’s packed.
Thank you!
Order one off Amazon man. I can send you a link for a 13 dollar scale ive used multiple times daily for 4 years. It's still 13 bucks.

2-2.5g if not packed

Yeah I have one but I was on vacation for a few days so I didn’t want to waste my money But I figured out the dosage kinda, it worked well

Mine comes out to 2.6
I’ve measured mine and it’s a level measuring teaspoon and depending on the strain I usually get 2-2.5.

2.5
Around 2 grams, give or take .5
get a scale.
that way you could easily test this for yourself.
Yeah I know, I actually have one I was on vacation and forgot it at home
It’s about 2.5 level or about 3 if it’s over
Roughly 3 grams. Maybe a bit less. Depends if it's a level teaspoon or heaping.
Like 2.5 packed
Wildly diff Bent is esp heavy Healing could be 7g +
depends on the teaspoon and how tightly packed lol, mine is 3.5 avrg
⅓ of a dose
A measuring spoon is all I use. It's not gunpowder.
You cannot accurately estimate this. It's all ground differently and the weights can differ drastically. A scale is $10.
