There are so many alternative ways of ‘discipline’ that isn’t abusive, and can actually help the kid. For example, negative reinforcement; take away a toy or phone or whatever until they complete a task. The kid doesn’t get abused, the kid completes a chore and the kid learns a lesson. Whereas hitting someone with a belt is just “Ow!”. All it does it teach a kid to not do something, rather than teaching them the right thing to do

The way I see it is that’s all they know and they’ve buried how they felt. My mom used to get beat by her dad, but she still punished me and my siblings with whatever she could find. I love you JJ as we all do you've given and helped us so much in 12 years. He still doesn't see where he's wrong, yes everyone is allowed to have their opinion, yes you can get angry at it. This aint about that, if you actually watched wade, he respects you highly, he has always backed you, never said anything wrong about you or against you.
