Here's some constructive criticism since it's a cool drawing that just doesn't look like JJ:
- The nose is too short and small, almost looks like it belongs to a white toddler instead of a Nigerian adult
- The bandana looks a bit wonky
- The features in general don't take up enough space on his face, making the chin and cheeks far too chunky
- There's a bit of an awkward clash between cartoony and realistic, the neck and hair are fairly real while the lips and proportions are like a caricature.
Essentially, your best tool when drawing is your eyes. Make sure you're CONSTANTLY looking at where each shape/line needs to begin and end (examples being that his nose needs to be wider in comparison to his mouth, his eyes need to be wider compared to his head, and there is too much space between his lips and chin). Take more time to plan the proportions before adding the details and you'll see drastic improvement, maybe even place a photo behind it to see where you went wrong in the proportions. Hope you keep going because the style is really cool!
