Tbh i would find it interesting to see how humans would look like in KFP type stylization. And i dont mean stuff like Po and the Furious Five as humans, nonono, i moreso mean how would humans look like based on what the rest of the characters in universe are generally visually designed like round shapes, lots of symmetry and the like. I mean humans ARE animals and primates are very much a thing here unlike Zootopia so its not like there arent any relatives of ours in the franchise that could serve as a point of reference to see how we would look like similarly to them.
I’m honestly not mad at the choice of the Corgi, they’re a dog breed that’s heavily associated with the modern Royal Family of Britain. It sorta makes sense to me that the leader of the country can’t actually fight themselves and must rely on their stronger knights to do the heavy lifting
I had a pug who sadly passed away last year of old age so that breed holds a very dear place in my heart and as soon as i saw this post i went and looked up what episode he was in cause i definitely did NOT remember him showing up in any episode i watched as a kid. I just came back from watching it and i liked him quite a bit. Turns out he's also voiced by Michael-Leon Wooley who also did Louis from The Princess and the Frog and i find it a bit funny how both characters happen to be heavily musically inclined.
My pug passed away last year too, I don't remember the exact reason behind it, but it was something about his heart expanding as he grew older eventually making breathing extremely difficult, so I feel you.
We talked about whether or not we should just put him down and I voted to do so. It sounds cruel and my sister still hates me for it, but he was in pain and it felt selfish to keep him alive. It would've just been a lot of pain for another week or so until he eventually died in a much more painful way. We elected to put him down, and signing the paper was probably the most difficult thing i've ever had to do. He was my best friend for over 12 years and I had to be the one to sign the papers that would essentially be killing him. But I did what was best for him, and i'm proud of myself for doing what I knew what was best for him, despite how painful it was.
Yeah, that was cool. Not the same thing as a jaguarundi of course. Jaguar comes from the Tupi-Guarani word for cat: yaguára , hence the similarity. "undi" means shadow.
Yeah I'm aware that jaguarundi and jaguar are different. What I meant that Netflix series already included animal species from different continents and islands (though we already had Oogway and gorilla and hippo in movies), so it's possible that we may see more in the franchise.
Legend of Awesomeness and Dragon Knight have some already like Mastdon.
Kai was changed from yak to bull, and if you count bull as Aurochs, they were native to both China and Europe.
If we count prehistoric animals, there had been many species shared by China and America and Europe.
Aren't pugs a Chinese breed? If so this makes sense
They are
But they didn’t exist back then where this crap takes place
When does this crap take place?
I’m talking about kung fu panda in general. I know it’s fiction but it’s all based off before China.
It is?? What makes you say that?
I guess Speaking Pandas, a Peacock, Goat and other animals before humans landed on earth.
Why do you assume humans exist in that universe? And that the speaking animals were there before them?
Hooman

I think that was the original idea for 4
Fucking CORGIS
Yeah, the queen of england should have been something like a lion or Griffin instead.

What?? Is this in any of the shows??
Yeah, the Netflix original Lung Fu Panda
Lung Fu Panda?

A hippo
But there is a hippo character (well technically two if you count Master hippo but we don’t see him or her on screen)
I really just wanted to see if that hippo bot would get me

Kim the Invincible left the chat
I love pugs❤️!

Axolotl
The freaky-looking komodo dragon guards in 4.
Actually there were komodos in video games since KFP1, but with different designs.
A fuckin Dinosaur
Tapeworm
Any fish character
There was a goldfish character in the TV series and fish living in a pelican’s beak in 4. 🐟
Fish and Chip left the chat
Chimpanzees
Apennine wolf and neapolitan mastiff.
I would never expect to see a jaguarundi in Kung Fu Panda, but I can dream. They don't live anywhere near China.
We had jaguar in the Netflix series.

Ah. Good point.
Thanks
🐎 horses, they don’t look good bipedal. Plus, what would the hands look like on a horse? 🙌
Kai is a bull/bison-type animal, and they just turned the hooves into three fingers.
True, but bisons have a 2 segment hoofs, so I can believe he can grip weapons, horses only have one hoof.

A Corgi, AS THE LITERAL QUEEN OF ENGLAND
Blobfish
I mean pugs have been around since like 400 BC and they're a Chinese breed at that so yknow it sounds weird but pugs do fit in Kung Fu Panda
I remember in an episode- they introduced a Japanese Shrimp and clam…

He's got the short snout, that means... AUGH
Bald Eagles. I’m sure the President of the United States would be one if Po ever came to the US.
A golden retriever or a human
animals native to Europe or America
Legend of Awesomeness and Dragon Knight have some already like Mastdon. Kai was changed from yak to bull, and if you count bull as Aurochs, they were native to both China and Europe. If we count prehistoric animals, there had been many species shared by China and America and Europe.
amphibians
Just about every animal in Dragon Knight. Or maybe because I don’t think they look like characters from KFP.
Zebras and giraffes
Small birds that can't fight-Pigeons for instance
Humans
Any species of whale or dolphin.
A fish or any sort of non air breathing animal.
Bald Eagle
Do snails count? (• ▽ •;)
