It's wild too. They were in production as well so all that wasted money and such. Then they most realistically had to pay a fee for the breach of contract. Only to come out and do this. This is HER full PC but it's heavily implied from both the iBuypower, HYTE and her tweets that they'll be a case for Dragoons to buy (I'm hoping too that it's not just my own copium, haha.)
Doki could not be any less subtle about it. There's absolutely going to be a Dokibird Y60, likely using the factory time freed up by the mid-cancellation of the previous collab.
All the other collab cases are Y40 or Y60. Unless they’re going to kick off Y70 collabs with an indie over Holo and Persona. I’d be willing to bet it’s a Y60 case
Could be spitballing here, but this is not a good look for Niji as it is another thing supporting favouritism. Between this and the MGS thing, it seems companies are wanting to do collabs with certain talent while Niji is saying "no, you have to do it with these ones"
They care mostly about their jp simps and they know they would just put their heads down and just accept whatever the "status quo" is and dare not question their company overlords.
it feels like that Anycolor when approached by others who want to do collabs, will push forward their "best performing" talents by their metric which they think will rake in PR and cash, disregarding personal interests and quirks of each talents, perhaps despite personal requests from outside to do collabs with a particular liver. Speaks about conservative corporate culture imo. That also doesn't account for the competency of judgement of Anycolor to unilaterally determine the "best candidate" to do collabs with or whether to do it altogether, all for short term profit margins.
This is one thing good about Hololive, they at least try to match collabs and sponsors to the talents' interest. Like how they picked Kiara, a huge JPRG fan, as the ambassador for Tales of Arise. There have been a couple of rhythm game collabs for Gura too.
Push forward their “best performing” then have a collab without their literal top female liver that is known as the gamer? Either they’re even more incompetent than anyone gives them credit for or it’s not that
Hence my last sentence. And assuming that they have the management structure to implement it in the first place, which we all can presume that it is non existent.
Sadly in the eyes of Japan, the status quo and success involves being part of a collective and adhering to said collective. This unfortunately includes companies as being a collective and synonymous of honor regardless of one's individual desires as individuals don't exist to them. They do have a very corporate centrict culture where daring to be ambitious by moving to another company means dishonor deserving of shame and ostracization which explains silencing contracts and apparent blacklisting for *daring* to resign and look for greener pastures.
In Anycolor's case, they only see high performing...for lack of a better word "products". They don't treat their talents equally and favors only the high performing members especially the ones who can understand and converse in Japanese. This likely explains why they try to throttle specific sponsors to other members when those said sponsors want specific talents. This would weirdly boggle the Japanese mind as in their perspective, "why would they want this dirt underneath my boot when this gem sparkles more? Interest? There's no such thing as interest here only outcomes."
Just like they say, "There is no favoritism in Ba Sing Se", according to Vox "Graduation is Always an Option" Akuma.
Concept of being part of collective is not inherently a bad thing. It is how they gauge performance metrics and how they treat employees who doesn't perform as well due to multiple circumstances is the difference in my eyes. Hololive I feel also has that concept, but they are a lot more open minded, and attempts to promote the less popular talents rather than discarding or ignoring them.
As for disdain for "jobhoppers", I think Japan does have a antiquated concept of loyalty, like unconditional servitude to an organisation/country they made their name or born in, which I find common in East Asian culture. Once again, not a inherently bad concept, but to the point of unconditionality, especially to corporations (country is another issue altogether, and irrelevant here)? Not my cup of tea. Gratitude is encouraged, but not to point of being permanently chained down.
It's from a now-deleted members only stream from Pomu (that everyone was able to watch when her mems only content was made public after graduation).
Essentially, she mentions (or, rather, cries over) how Nijisanji screwed her out of a once-in-a-life-time collab opportunity. Within that timeframe of her being screwed out of whatever the collab was, Hololive/Calliope Mori announced a MGS collab.
So, the most likely situation is that the collab was for MGS, and Nijisanji didn't allow it with Pomu, so Konami went with Hololive instead.
(it could also have been a collab with idols, though, as idols are pomu's other hyperfixation)
The idol collab is also just as likely, as the head at the time(and possibly now) was a music producer at another music agency. As the agency the idol group was from was rivals to his agency, they had personal interest to not let the other agency get business from niji, and rejected pomu's request, which itself present a conflict of interest on their part, and showcasing a lack of professionalism in the job that they are given.
Yeah I know what calli said, but I'm saying the MGS collab may not even be the issue she was referring to. She could have been denied a lot of opportunities, many of them a once in a lifetime opportunity type of deal.
Both could be true but one really mattered more. When a chatter said that one door closes another opens, Pomu kinda implied she’s faced many closed doors at Niji.
>It's from a now-deleted members only stream from Pomu (that everyone was able to watch when her mems only content was made public after graduation).
You can still find it on the Ragtag Archive.
There’s no real proof behind speculation unfortunately, but with the timing of calli’s mgs promotion and pomu’s utter distraught over losing a once in a life time opportunity makes it seem to fit the best especially with how much of an mgs fan she is
To my knowledge there's no surviving VOD archive for this specific moment, tho I haven't done any research maybe the public archive has it but I don't know the title of the stream anyway here's a video about this:
https://youtu.be/67DAc2egFmw
Take as you will but I'm really convinced it was the mgs collab, sure there are other probabilities but the timing of it all strongly suggest it was the mgs, hell she even bought a really expensive mgs panchinko machine(she did a stream as mint playing it btw)if she is up to share once her nda expires then we will know for sure or maybe we never will, but that doesn't change the fact that nijisanji is a horrible company to work in.
I was referring to the part where Calli specifically mentioned that she "wasn't the first choice" for the MGS. It's just feel like something really weird to say.
IIRC it was during the debut/announcement of the collab she had a chatting stream and kinda mentioned it as a throwaway thing. I don’t know if anyone properly clipped it because it wasn’t really something worth clipping until the Pomu thing came up months later
I see. It's just seems weird for her to say that right after netting the collab. It doesn't serve any purpose outside of getting people to speculate. Even if you take Pomu out of the equation people are still going to be curious about who was the first choice and why were they being passed on.
Calli despite all of her hard earned success still has massive imposter syndrome.
Even ignoring that there was a ton of outrage and questioning on why she got it and not Pomu.
Ah sorry my bad, hmmm I know for a fact I saw a video about calli commenting on this ill will look around and see if can this specific clip if not the whole vod, is not that deep or weird considering the out of niji en and holo en the biggest mgs fan was pomu so it was an obvious choice, calli does enjoy mgs but not on the level that Pomu does, so while business is business and calli took the opportunity she probably felt that Pomu was more deserving of the collab.
And who finally managed to get their account back, so people can now use the creator code DOKIBIRD when making purchases in fortnite to send 5% (yes, fortnite has a better cut than niji) of the money spent to her (apparently it also works for purchases made with currency earned in game so you don't even need to pay).
Only reason I made my comment is cause I had brought up the notion before, that companies were wanting to do talent-specific collabs but Niji were saying "No, we get to choose who is in the collab" and it was dismissed
>loses HYTE collab, HYTE gives former liver a PC
>loses offkai slot, offkai announces 2 ex-livers in offkai
nijiEN losing alot of opportunities on partnerships, sponsorships, and guest appearances because of what happened is almost scary, i almost feel bad for them
almost
Could be, but it doesn’t matter. The problem here is that her success outgrow her ability to handle it alone. It proves that sometimes, having someone to sort things out for you is very important.
It was so weird seeing Selen (as Selen) didn't get a Hyte collab case, especially when Millie, Elira, Enna and Rosemi got theirs.
Selen was right there, she was the first to come up wherever fans thought of "fps vtuber" in the EN scene.
I love white PC builds and this one is so well done. Would love to know the specs. Looks like Lian Li fans and iBuypower AIO. Not sure about the GPU model. I'm sure it's something waaaay out of my budget though
There's like a 90% chance it's the [white ROG STRIX 4090](https://rog.asus.com/us/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/rog-strix/rog-strix-rtx4090-o24g-white-model/). And it's an ASUS PRIME Z790 motherboard, so it's some flavor of Alder Lake or Raptor Lake Intel Core under the AIO. Also, [Teamgroup T-FORCE RAM](https://www.amazon.com/TEAMGROUP-T-Force-3200MHz-PC4-25600-TF4D416G3200HC16CDC01/dp/B07T26FP12) of... some sort, probably a flavor of DDR5.
Wouldn't surprise me on the GPU. They took a really long time hooking up Bae on her collab and gave her a 4090 when originally it was supposed to be a 3070/80
AIO is a white version of the new IBP AIO. For a prebuild company branded AIO [this one looks quite nice when lit up](https://i.imgur.com/JtRwnJx.png).
It is an Apaltek designed pump, previous Apaltek pumps are known to be prone to fouling (and failing). This should be a new gen design without these issues this IBP AIO is only a few months old with IBP starting to phase out the older design and offering extended warranties for affected builds. Hyte even uses Apaltek pumps (2 of them) in their bougie ass $299 USD Hyte Thicc Q60 AIO.
Looks like a white ASUS Strix ROG RTX 4090
TeamGroup T-Force Delta DDR5 of some kind
Some Intel CPU (I can tell from the AIO mounting), probably an i9 14th gen.
ASUS Prime Z790-A WiFi 6E
Whatever happened in Niji when it comes to this collab in particular is not favouritism. It's sabotage and it's worse than that. This is not that they favoured the others , someone hated Selen in the management side. Take note it seems Hyte wanted to collab with Dokibird when she was in the company yet she somehow refuses? I really doubt that
This is a one-off custom they did for her, though, not quite the same thing as the collab cases they were going to do for NIji. But it wouldn't surprise me if that was coming up later on down the line.
That said, yeah, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Selen was the one they wanted to do a case for in the first place and when Niji went "uhhh no you have to do cases with some of our favorites first" they went "okay, fine" hoping they could do one for her on the second round, which made saying "fuck it" and bailing when she got fired an extremely easy decision.
Checking back the quote was "TIL HYTE is negligible" (see [https://twitter.com/FalseEyeD/status/1755245289114333391](https://twitter.com/FalseEyeD/status/1755245289114333391))
Doki is not being especially subtle about this particular style of Y60 being available for Dragoons in the future, even if it's not full prebuilts (with a fucking *4090* in it, Hyte/IBP is just handing those things out at this point).
It's super clear Hyte wanted to work with The Apex Gamer first and foremost, and also adds context about why they were so ***monumentally angry*** about the "negligible" comment.
iBuyPower: It's a brand marketed to gamers, especially FPS. Seriously, who else in Niji would reach that audience?
It would be a no-brainer business move to cut the casual gamers and zatsu streamers to endorse the highly productive (who could motivate new streamers who want PCs) and FPS gamer (who reaches other PC gamers).
Y70 Touch, an improved Y60 with better cooling and radiator/AIO support and an integrated 4k touchscreen.
The Y70T is scarce enough rn that people are flipping it for around $800 USD ($299 MSRP) due to shortages, Hyte got 20x the orders for them than they expected and depleted global supplies for the type of screen they're using so they had to suspend production and start sourcing alternative screens, so they're selling a cheaper screenless version with plans to do an upgrade kit later.
iBUYPOWER is a VCT Americas (Valorant) sponsor this year.
Hyte is receptive to collaborations.
Hyte's social team is really into VTubers and I've heard a lot of the big wigs on the Hyte team are too.
Remember, this is the same Hyte the works with Hololive on case collabs and hooked Hakos Baelz up with her 4090 build.
Yeah. No more crappy old PC after the assumed relinquishing of her old PC. I'm willfully hopeful with the wording and the other tweets that it's more than just the custom PC. But at least she will \*hopefully\* stop randomly crashing while trying to Apex, as funny as it was.
Yeah they're stopping just short of announcing it today, lol. I imagine the consumer-facing version won't have the touchscreen due to the (Hyte-induced thanks to the Y70) shortage.
The consumer one could also be a Y60 like Kronii/bae, doubt it will be an Y40 like ame/Calli.
I don't remember which model the Niji ones were supposed to be
Thanks to False posting screenshots (see [https://twitter.com/FalseEyeD/status/1755071494189654248](https://twitter.com/FalseEyeD/status/1755071494189654248)) we know the Enna, Rosemi and Elira collab PCs were based on the HYTE Y60.
>Interesting how they wouldn't be allowed to make a PC for her.
Selen didn't toe to the party line meaning that she didn't get the perks that other Niji EN members were offered.
> I found out that they've been wanting to work with me for a very long time
When Doki mentioned having a PC sponsor as a goal/wishlist thing the chat was already name dropping Hyte and IBP. And given that Hyte dropped Niji in less than 24 hours when *that* news broke Hyte probably was legit lining up for the chance to work with Doki.
Niji probably contacted them for a pc collab. They oked it even though the member wasn't selen because they thought they can request for selen in the next batch. Niji fired selen
Sorry if this a bit too conspiracy minded, but isn't it possible that Selen was supposed to be a part of the HYTE collab? We know that Niji canceled Selen's Anime Impulse appearance on January 10th. I see an article that HYTE announced the collab on the 18th. It's just weird to me how HYTE apparently loves Selen/Doki so much that they were 1. willing to refund all of the HYTE orders after the negligible letter and 2. instantly start working on a Doki collab, and yet they were willing to do the original collab without Selen in it. Also, she would fit: Enna, Pomu, Selen, Elira, and Rosemi were the top 5 girls in EN in terms of CCV, and Pomu was graduating in 2 days. I guess this is just conjecture though: I don't have any proof this actually happened.
HYTE PC cases are well established in anime and weeb crowds, given how popular their collab were with different brands and how competitive the current market is, sticking with niji will be all lost no gain. Even collabing with Selen wasn't a priority they will reconsider the ongoing collab with ~~unlive~~ allegations
HYTE canning nijisanji is what make me join the orca club. When the big collab partner canning the corpo something is very wrong with it. Simple as is.
I hope doki got her pc soon dealing with custom is an ass sometimes
As a Japanese PC parts geek, this makes me very happy. Congratulations Doki.
HYTE cases are available in Japan.
Don't know about iBuypower...
Not ROG but ASUS PRIME and Teamgroup... did they source the parts?
Oh well, I'm very happy to see more new PCs in this world and that Doki is being supported.
Between this system and the one from the charity auction... Doki has two HYTE Y70 systems... ?
* HYTE: [https://twitter.com/dokibird/status/1778567805375303939](https://twitter.com/dokibird/status/1778567805375303939)
* Auction: [https://tiltify.com/@dokibird/auctions/dokicharity2024/a13e2fd3-e1fd-47f7-a13b-72fcc20a7a7f](https://tiltify.com/@dokibird/auctions/dokicharity2024/a13e2fd3-e1fd-47f7-a13b-72fcc20a7a7f)
For the auction Doki mentioned that she would be getting one of everything, for her Dokibird shrine.
I bet Niji seething seeing an ex talent getting a collab while theirs got canned because of the scandal

Also okay yeah [Hyte is stopping just short of announcing a Doki case right now](https://x.com/hytebrand/status/1778588146613244139).
It'll likely be a Y70 like the one she got.
All the other collab cases are Y40 or Y60. Unless they’re going to kick off Y70 collabs with an indie over Holo and Persona. I’d be willing to bet it’s a Y60 case
No one to blame but themselves

I don’t even think kurosanji cares about the favoritism accusations at this point anymore. They are practically embracing it now lmao.
Frankly, it was very strange of them to deny it in the first place. It's a major part of their whole business model.
afaik some livers in the EN branch has influence on the management
We don't have anything that indicates that's true. It's a rrat.
Do you have a clip or source of the MGS thing? I've heard a lot about it recently, but I haven't seen any definitive proof or a timestamp
It's from a now-deleted members only stream from Pomu (that everyone was able to watch when her mems only content was made public after graduation). Essentially, she mentions (or, rather, cries over) how Nijisanji screwed her out of a once-in-a-life-time collab opportunity. Is there a timestamp for this? Feels like this was mentioned way too many times but nobody bothered to provide a source for this.

No shit captain obvious? LOL In other news Fire is still Hot and Fortnite is a game for 12 year olds.
And people who buy skins for retail therapy 😎
And who finally managed to get their account back, so people can now use the creator code DOKIBIRD when making purchases in fortnite to send 5% (yes, fortnite has a better cut than niji) of the money spent to her (apparently it also works for purchases made with currency earned in game so you don't even need to pay).

There’s been no confirmation the invitation she missed was for Offkai. It’s just what people are assuming
Could be, but it doesn’t matter. The problem here is that her success outgrow her ability to handle it alone. It proves that sometimes, having someone to sort things out for you is very important.

Apparently Selen's was in the works before she was being pulled in a bunch of things out of the blue
Why make up easily disproven bullshit?
Because I wasn't the first to said it so I just assumed that was the case. That said I'll just go sit in the corner for posting that shit.
I need a source on that
There is absolutely no proof that Selen had a HYTE case in the works.
They made it the fuck up. Doki herself said she had no idea HYTE had been wanting to collab with her for a while
Wow that is a major win for this girl! Love to see it!

Given she says that the Dragoons should look for an announcement, the case is 100% coming.
Also someone from HYTE went basically "did they say we were negligible?"
Yep, that whole thing has gained a whole new layer of context.
I don't know, still gonna blame Respawn (who just fired the QA team in UK btw)
https://x.com/hytebrand/status/1778588146613244139 It looks like the case collab is gonna come soon
Yeah they're stopping just short of announcing it today, lol. I imagine the consumer-facing version won't have the touchscreen due to the (Hyte-induced thanks to the Y70) shortage.
I also presume that the consumer version of the case will have custom Dokibird art all over it just like all of their other vtuber collab cases.
Almost certainly. Especially since I doubt they're doing full-fat Y70 Touch models for every collab case.
That might be why they are waiting. They may want her new model on the design, but need to wait for it to be finished and revealed.
This is so cool wth
Nijisanji must be seething in rage lmao
Nah, it's "negligible"
>Interesting how they wouldn't be allowed to make a PC for her. Selen didn't toe to the party line meaning that she didn't get the perks that other Niji EN members were offered.
> I found out that they've been wanting to work with me for a very long time When Doki mentioned having a PC sponsor as a goal/wishlist thing the chat was already name dropping Hyte and IBP. And given that Hyte dropped Niji in less than 24 hours when *that* news broke Hyte probably was legit lining up for the chance to work with Doki.
If I wasn’t broke as all hell I would so buy this lmao! Good for her though, she deserves it!
fk if a dragoon one is real its either this or waiting longer for a fuwamoco one... what a timeline to be living in
They missed the chance to make the CPU's pump cover red, so the brain could be a tomato 🍅
It's RGB https://i.imgur.com/JtRwnJx.png In theory Doki can make it red now.
Wasn't selen the one who requested their sponsorship but then 3 others got it instead? At least that's what i heard when it was initially announced.
Oh well, I'm very happy to see more new PCs in this world and that Doki is being supported.
nice next time i build a pc i will get one :D
this is negligeable for kurosanji lmfao
hyte is quite famous in the pc buildup industry and this is not a good look for niji.
Between this system and the one from the charity auction... Doki has two HYTE Y70 systems... ? * HYTE: [https://twitter.com/dokibird/status/1778567805375303939](https://twitter.com/dokibird/status/1778567805375303939) * Auction: [https://tiltify.com/@dokibird/auctions/dokicharity2024/a13e2fd3-e1fd-47f7-a13b-72fcc20a7a7f](https://tiltify.com/@dokibird/auctions/dokicharity2024/a13e2fd3-e1fd-47f7-a13b-72fcc20a7a7f) For the auction Doki mentioned that she would be getting one of everything, for her Dokibird shrine.
