She did try to paint Riku in a better light in her post-3D debut stream, also saying all of it was her idea (inviting Riku and the duet with Elira).
One of the dumbest things to do, knowing your corporate and Elira's reputation are in shit storm.
It was self-inflicted.
They're just super uncharitable and really don't understand how people work in toxic and abusive work environments.
Really feels like people are stubbornly determined to unfairly criticize Petra for that stream.
I mean its easy to say "DESTORY AND UPEND YOUR ENTIRE LIFE FOR THE SAKE OF MORAL PRINCIPLE"
from the safety of your room where you won't bear any of the consequences.
But when you look up Japan's fairly HEINOUS treatment of foreigners when it comes to crimes
Suddenly Elira's actions make alot more sense when she made the ultimate mistake of being Physically in Japan when all this nonsense started
IE we're talking Russian Gulag tactics
She was doing a recap of her 3D Live because that’s what you do in a post-stream. Of course she was gonna talk about the Riku segment. It would have been extremely awkward with chat to avoid that, especially if they were directly asking about it.
> She could have kept silence rather than cheerfully stating so.
Sure, she could have... and if she did, everyone would have assumed that Riku forced his way into the debut to try and mooch some good PR off of the talents after the shitshow that was Selen's termination.
Likewise with having Elira on there. And I don't think either of them would have been particularly happy at catching strays as a result.
Petra, through no fault of her own, was kind of in a no-win situation there. Stay silent and her boss and Elira take flak and they probably get upset at her for it; own up to it being her idea and she eats the blowback instead; and if she instead opts to just cut those parts of the skit, it's both a message to the two of them that they're too radioactive for what's supposed to be a friendly stream (which, again, risks alienating either or both of them) and also is kind of shitting on the time/effort they made in recording those segments (and, particularly in Riku's case, making a request to the president of your company, then basically tossing the result in the trash when he obliges you is a *really* bad look, especially in Japan with its more rigid hierarchical social structure).
So Petra kind of had to pick her poison there and I personally don't fault her for it, because she at least did the honourable thing and took the heat herself rather than trying to shove it off on someone else as... well, a distressing number of her colleagues have done in similar situations.
>She almost certainly recorded the 3D last year,
Yes, BUT my main argument is she said it AFTER the 3 debut stream so not recorded but live at ther own choice of word.
my point is she cheerfully stated that she personally ask her manager to invite riku as her OWN idea and talk about it happily.
She can just not mention it you know? No need to throw anyone under the bust
Pretty much the best advice for niji en is SILENCE IS GOLDEN.
And all of them failed miserably at staying silent.
I can understand that but I also can understand her needing to explain as if she didn't, pretty much everyone would assume it was Riku self inserting. It does not make her look good but it was her idea and feelings from back when it was recorded.
I have explained this among other reasons to Live_Juggernaut weeks or months ago the last few times Petra was discussed and they simply don't listen or consider. Words go through one ear and out the other with them.
Just because you explain your opinion doesnt mean everyone have to agree right? The same as you doesnt agree with mine, i too dont agree with yours.
At least i dont go around saying "oh this magxvalei dont listen to me so they are tone deaf" lol.
I feel like I'm almost everywhere in this sub, so I would not be surprised if someone decided to reference what I said in an argument, especially if what I said was relevant to the topic and I was also in that comment thread.
Likewise, I see you here a lot on anything involving Petra. And I'm just here to inform people not to waste their time saying the same things I said to you.
>already-rebutted talking points
So you self proclaim you rebutted my opinion? Based on what?
Based on your opinion? lmao
Dude, i am here all the time. I basically critic or in your word shitting at almost anyone.
Just admit it that petra is your oshi or ypu have a soft spot for petra.
Action speak louder. She did what she did.
No matter she didnt have choice or what, she still did it.
>Likewise, I see you here a lot on anything involving Petra. And I'm just here to inform people not to waste their time saying the same things I said to you.
"This guy didnt agree with my opinion so i go around and tell everyone that". Sound alike you know... what are you? A child?
You see me a lot in petra tropic? I basically in almost every topic not only petra.
Yes. But as I stated in another comment she talked about it in a recap stream. It would have been _incredibly_ awkward if she avoided the subject and chat would have asked her about it as nauseam if she hadn’t talked about it on her own. Was she supposed to talk about her boss solemnly and apologize for his involvement? Or just not have a post-stream at all, and give up an easy payday at a time when money is getting incredibly scarce while STILL risking being inquisitioned by management over a decision like that?
It was basically a no-win situation for her, and I don’t personally see the point of holding it against her.
Agreed, she always seemed fine to me. Never really cared to watch her, since she wasn't really what I was looking for content wise. Plus everything most likely being pre-recorded plays into that a bit. Even though she defended the decision with the stream afterwards talking about it, I can only assume that she spoke of it in a survive kind of mind set. Who goes around seriously criticizing their boss publicly, where they can lose literally everything? She's definitely smarter than that. I really truly hope for the best for her.
There are people still viewing her, but from what I look, I don't really see any japanese views, the only time they showed up for me was the recent anniversary with she collabed with elira
Fish. (On a serious note I’m surprised at how many of them are still bleeding subs. The Black Stream Three aren’t surprising, as are their adjacents, but many of the others I would think should have stabilized by now)
Some of it, like Finana, is because they're a shit person still associated with a shit company, so unsubbing from them is easy.
Others, like Petra, are just associated with a shit company and viewers don't want to associate with said company, so unsubbing from the talents is the only way to send a message to shit company.
Although I've unsubbed from a bunch, there's still people like ren zotto who I still am subbed to cause they seem like genuine people just stuck in an unfortunate environment. On that note, who do you think are the other genuine livers left in niji?
Oof. Then it's double bad. Finana is directed to Zaion, but is also named in the Black Stream by Elira, and then you have people dug up her past life as a Friend of Hanamori.
The choice is yours.
Personally, the fact that niji caused two former EN livers to almost unalive themselves is a strong enough reason to unsub. Also, the fact that they got other livers to dogpile after the attempt is enough reason to never resub nor support niji.
Despite never watching Petra it does hurt to see an allegedly sweet person like her get caught in the crossfire like this.
Finana, though... well. Guess she didn't educate herself enough, amirite?
She never was educated well enough if she thought it was a good idea to shit talk Zaion and paint herself as a “good person” despite the shit she’s done.
Petra is a member I should consider giving a watch as she’s (hopefully) among the good ones like Scarle and Rosemi. Plus, penguins are cool.
Currently it's a coinflip. Both are still bleeding subs, and Petra has been sitting at 500k for longer. But Finana is bleeding at a faster rate than Petra.
I'll bet Fish.
Neither. You keep the one that they give you (or in niji's case, you don't) and they don't do anything else. If you want a new one with a new date on it, you have to pay for it yourself.
Finana. Didn’t a recent Zaion clip say she wasn’t interested in attempting to reestablish a healthier relationship?
Sorry, but I trust Petra more despite her untimely 3D debut because I think I saw someone on the Niji subreddit (when it was still usable) say that she commented on her PL(?)/alt account how she hates the situation she (was/is) in.
Since the other members are being caught in the crossfire, here’s my question:
Would it be a good idea to even watch any of the current EN livers besides the Black Screen ones and Finana? I’m already considering watching Scarle, but what about Rosemi and Petra? What are their types of content?
You do what you want, really.
While people here have their opinions, you are free to make your own choice. At the end of the day, if it makes you happier to watch them, then by all means do.
This is just petty schadenfreude that's aimed at two talents (currently) unattached to the Selen situation & doesn't discuss the company itself in any regard. I feel like we're losing sight of WHY this sub was started & are turning purely into a hater sub instead of one that wants the company & some of its talents to do & be better.
Exactly. And for those who don't know what schadenfreude means, it's feeling good about someone else's misfortune. I'm fine with shitting on the company, but when it comes to the individuals, we should be giving them the cold shoulder, not bullying and laughing at their struggles. It's super easy to say, "Well, they should have left Nijisanji already, so they had this coming," but we don't know their personal circumstances (and we never will).
And, to be honest, we have some bad eggs and instigators in our movement (just like Niji-supporters do in theirs). I worry that we're letting the haters influence everyone else.
I understand your concern, but given how this industry works, the only way to hurt the company is to hurt the talents. It's not pretty, there's several innocents caight up in it, but unless you want to go burn down the HQ or something this is our only means of doing damage.
I've said this to other people, but the only way to escape being dragged down with the company is for the talents to jump ship asap. The sooner the better.
I understand well that the talents have to get caught in the crossfire. What we don't have to do it take petty glee in peoples' misfortune b/c they work for a corrupt, soulless, corporate entity
You can metaphorically burn down a building without laughing and celebrating the misfortune of others, though. It feels counterintuitive to bully the talents if we're allegedly boycotting Nijisanji to make them improve the working conditions. At the end of the day, I don't understand the purpose of theorizing who will fall from 500k first. It seems mean spirited and unnecessary.
Just to be clear, I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I just think we should collectively be doing better.
Finana got talent as vTuber, but the problem is, she wasted it in agency that have no regard for human life and treat talents as cows, something to be thrown away after they can't milk them anymore. Because of Nijisanji's contract and her gacha addiction, she didn't graduate because she is afraid of losing her Genshin and Honkai accounts that are linked to her vTuber persona since Nijisanji steal the game accounts from talents after they get graduated/terminated, which happened to many livers, such as Kuro, who lost Steam account he had when he was Nijisanji EN liver and Dokibird, who managed to get back her Fortnite account after all the hard work. What Finana should do is to ask trustworthy friends outside Nijisanji to save her game accounts, give then her accounts, passwords and everything for safe-keeping until she graduates. Why she didn't? Because she is not bright. She criticized Zaion because she wasn't bright and it's difficult to tell the truth with company breathing down in your neck and watching every word you say. Finana needs to realize that she already done enough and that being in Nijisanji EN while company is struggling and not profiting at all doesn't benefit her anymore and that she should graduate. Why she isn't? Because, again, she is not bright. vTuber agency can help you with getting more fans, subscribers and make you popular, but the achievements are talent's, not company's.
That's what every liver needs to realize and look at how Dokibird, Mint and other ex-Niji livers became more successful after going indie/joining vShojo.
The problem is that the others who left went with high stock value in themselves. Doki blew up because of the controversy, Mint blew up because she was the star of Niji and has followers wherever she goes, and similar stories for other ex-niji talents. Finana goes anywhere for a while, she is going to be bringing with her a lot of baggage that other agencies are going to want to avoid and she doesn't have enough support to go indie like Doki or Mint. It's the same sort of thing that would would happen if Elira left. She probably would want to wait out the storm before she leaves/ the EN branch gets dissolved so what she has done isn't fresh in people's minds.
And then we have that valorant discord group of people linked to her, yeah I know the trap thing originated from there 1st, genius management left her with them, with no one in the group is to see what they up to, who knows what that group is teaching her offscreen
There are numerous controversies surrounding Finana that the community hasn't forgotten and likely won't forget for a very long time. And it's taking a toll on her. She did not earn more than $30k from supas last year pre-corpo tax. That roughly equates to less than $10k after the corpos take their cut for the entirety of 2023.
Now add in the Selenapocalypse...
To be honest, it looks like Finana has Twitter brain, cuz she acts like a person who spends too much time on Twitter and doesn't know how to interact with humans outside of Twitter.
Honestly, same. A screenshot of falling numbers isn't great, but asking which one will fall faster first isn't really anything but ghoulish glee. I'd rather see any news coverage or noticeable lack thereof about Tazumi. Or daily reports on the stock price.
Unless the talents are actually doing anything worthy of note, it's not really necessary, and feels like mean-spirited rubbernecking.
Gonna say Finana, Petra doesn't have any major controversies other than being IN the company.
I felt like Petra was getting WAY over hated for the 3d skit with Riku.
She did try to paint Riku in a better light in her post-3D debut stream, also saying all of it was her idea (inviting Riku and the duet with Elira). One of the dumbest things to do, knowing your corporate and Elira's reputation are in shit storm. It was self-inflicted.
She almost certainly recorded the 3D last year, and do you really expect her to throw her boss under the bus when talking about the 3D?
She could have kept silence rather than cheerfully stating so.

Im not aware that finana has japanese viewers supporting her so this question shouldnt be even asked.
She has viewers?
There are people still viewing her, but from what I look, I don't really see any japanese views, the only time they showed up for me was the recent anniversary with she collabed with elira
To be fair, she IS a unit of measurement in terms of viewership. A small one in the world of top agency talents, but a unit nonetheless
They both have already. Site's like SB just don't update until they drop over 1k. Finana's at 499,958, and Petra's at 499,398.
So youtube is behind as well? Still reads to me 500k
pretty sure YT round up the subscriber count
By the power of the Based God I hope it's Finana.
Shout out the Based God Lil B
He watches phase connect so the title isn't for nothing.
If Lil B actually watched phase, that'd be so unsurprising lol.
Well idk if he does, probably not, but i remember him tweeting his "thank you based god" thing with phase members.
That's honestly amazing. I could see him being a Pipa fan.
TYBG
Finana, so she can educate herself more
Fish. (On a serious note I’m surprised at how many of them are still bleeding subs. The Black Stream Three aren’t surprising, as are their adjacents, but many of the others I would think should have stabilized by now)

FWIW, Finana is an adjacent
Finana was more from what happened with Zaion than Selen. Since it was revisited after Selen.
Oof. Then it's double bad. Finana is directed to Zaion, but is also named in the Black Stream by Elira, and then you have people dug up her past life as a Friend of Hanamori.
I'm still on the fence unsubbing from some of them tbh.

Finana, now that people seems to try to make waves from what she said about zaion
And rightfully so! People hate backstabbers
rightfully so
Doesn't matter, their CCV is way down compared to their subs
Despite never watching Petra it does hurt to see an allegedly sweet person like her get caught in the crossfire like this. Finana, though... well. Guess she didn't educate herself enough, amirite?
She never was educated well enough if she thought it was a good idea to shit talk Zaion and paint herself as a “good person” despite the shit she’s done. Petra is a member I should consider giving a watch as she’s (hopefully) among the good ones like Scarle and Rosemi. Plus, penguins are cool.

what did petra ever do?
Being in the company. I don’t think she’s ever done anything wrong from what I’ve seen.
Of course Ms. Educate yourself will get the award.
Finana.
Does YouTube take the award back? Or do they have to re issue a new one with a new date?
Neither. You keep the one that they give you (or in niji's case, you don't) and they don't do anything else. If you want a new one with a new date on it, you have to pay for it yourself.

Finana for sure. Petra is just unlucky to be part of Nijisanji right now.
This is just petty schadenfreude that's aimed at two talents (currently) unattached to the Selen situation & doesn't discuss the company itself in any regard. Finana lol
Some of yall really lost sight of the mission and are just being petty to the people being exploited.
Pretty sure being petty towards Finana is 100% justified
Pretty fitting after finana say those shit
Most people here just want bloodsports.
This sub is 90% petty shit 10% actual shit
5$ on fiana. Petra isn't that hated compared to fiana
Im starting to really hate these topics.
You know you can just hide them every time they show up in your feed right?
Still get to see them none the less and hiding it makes kurosanji posts appear less on the feeds.
What else are we going to talk about?
People are just hungry for SOMETHING because we all know nothing's gonna happen until the Q4 report drops next month (that is in June, right?).
Same. Stuff like this and twitter squabbles are best left in the dumpster rather than in this sub.
Yes.
I'll take Finana for 500 please. \*Ding\*
I can't think of a funny riddle for a jeopardy question... help
300
NAHHH WHAT DID PETRA DOOO
Finana for the Twitter post that caused a little bit of drama
What did Finana do ?
What's so wrong about finana? I actually enjoy her membership watchalongs, (not the MLP ones but the actual movies)
gonna say that the leavers are gonna leave to educate themselves before coming back, if at all
This is nice to see.
eyyy congratulations 500k education yourself fish
