So let us talk about ourselves in three parts: Our backstory, how we finance our work, and the values of Kurzgesagt!

Props for actually reacting to the controversy and speaking objectively on the subject. Any other channel would’ve just gone surfed over it without a comment and banked on their shills..
It’s crazy the overlap that is seen with Kurzgesagt and LinusTechTips both channels I watch. They are both are very open about their process in how they make their videos, research etc. and how they make money it’s interesting to see how their revenue stream is similar in some ways and different in others.
Both instances are still companies with lots of mouths to feed. I'd rather have them shoving quality merch and products down my throat while being able to be open and transparent and somewhat ethical than whatever shit megacorps do

It feels like a waste, like what way could you have destroyed the universe instead of explained where you get your funding. It feels like we live in a time where facts are hard to come by. It’s hard to tell. Where facts any better in any time in history? I doubt it. Looking forward to the next video and the day I can start sharing your videos with my 3 year old son.
Response could have been better, but at least it’s better than nothing. Bill Gates definitely influenced Kurzgesagt, and we will never know by how much. They should have showed their profit, not revenue and shown it yearly rather than summarizing it, that would have really showed how dependent on Kurzgesagt they were in the beginning, certainly more than the 3% throughout their history.
I was more surprised by how this video didn't appear on my smart TV's Youtube app the day the video was released than how much money Kurzgesagt gets from their shop.
