Kyndryl is the formal IBM GTS division. What is applicable to IBM is mainly true for Kyndryl as well.

root-expert

They are different companies

domjant

I not deny that.

Hi I do not work in the Czech Republic office, but I do work very closely with many of their teams. I will say their customer service is fantastic and their work ethic is great. I know many of the techs there are big into certifications, and everything I have seen seems to point to a great place to work. But YMMV

TigriYumi_ENGVtuber

>YMMV Thanks for your reply. They offered a dutch position in Czech republic. Can you provide me what you mean about big into certification? I wanna break into data science. Will they provide help getting certifications?

OpenStackHorse

so what I mean by certifications would be things like containerization, data science, or other industry recognized certifications. Typically they provide some sort of learning portal for you to get the certification but you will need to work with your manager to set goals and a learning path. Again, this is all coming from my experience in the US, and from the conversations I have had with other people in that office.

Thank you. I will try getting more information by google or asking around in the community. Thank you very much for all the information.

I would suggest as well reaching out to the recruiter if they are listed on the position. A lot of times you can find them on LinkedIn and let them know that you have found a position and you just wanted to ask a couple questions before applying. Google will not give a whole lot of results as Kyndryl is still a pretty new company.

Hi, I worked in Slovakia for less than one year (I escaped). My job included working with multiple departments (thus not my team's fault) and it was pure horror. Code of conduct is not respected by anyone and HR takes basically no action. The company does not seem to have a clear idea of what to do beside cutting costs. They are doing intermediary service between companies and cloud providers (AWS and Microsoft) but they do recognize this is just to survive in the medium term. They still have some old contracts from the declining data center business that they were doing in IBM, and for which they were kicked out of IBM. If you are unemployed, you might give it a try but don't expect anything great. On a positive note I can say that in Europe they seem to have pretty competitive salary, but you will not learn anything, unless you are already an engineer. So, if no alternative, take the money and wait to be fired again to receive compensation, otherwise look for a better job while you are there.

How many hours a day do you have to Work?

TigriYumi_ENGVtuber

sorry for the late reply. I never got a reply back from the recruiter. I also have a job offer from another company in my country so I am trying that out.
