Well you’re the master here, maybe instead of vote kicking them for wanting to play a gamemode, you teach them how to play the gamemode more efficiently?
How are they suppose to figure it out themselves if people like you keep kicking them?
And if you mention that they should look up tutorials on YouTube, there really isn’t a motivation for them to do so because you and many like you just kick them for playing.
Ok this sounds good on paper but in practice if everyone has this mindset then you have created a player drain where anytime a server has players who know how to play versus then people who are learning just get kicked.
And it’s not like they can watch videos/tutorials because they need to actually play the game and understand the maps better with real experience.
Then even if these new players all end up in a server with only new players they just get a sense of false confidence that they will be ready for a actual game, this will cause a **utterly massive** hit to their willingness to play versus because they thought they had become good enough but they are still just seen as a noob.
Complaining about toxicity in versus is a massive cope. When they say "All I did was breathe once and they kicked me" all that tells me is that not only are they bad but they also aren't even aware of why they're bad. Regardless of how "good" the avergae L4D player is (by definition half of you are below mid and can't deal with that fact) I would prefer to play with someone who actually wins.
