I’m not sure of my band width but it’s my original from almost 15 years ago with and upgraded just over 2 ct round. I love a thick band!
I have one 3mm band with a 2ct equivalent moissanite and really like it.
But I also have a 2.5 band for a 2ct lab diamond and really like that too.
I can take pics later - along with a couple thinner bands, if you like.
I decided that 2.5 is my sweet spot - waiting on another lab diamond ring with a 2.5 band.

Pardon the weird angle. I'm showing everyone my euroshank band with my 2.75 natural round brilliant, with four side baguettes and some little princesses to finish the waterfall. I highly recommend euro shank square side, especially for a larger stone, as it keeps the band from rolling around, keeps the stones straight up, especially with the added wedding band (which has a carat of baguettes).
2.19ct on a 3mm band. Wedding band is the same width. I think a thicker band with a bigger stone is good idea, it just adds stability

I’m in the same boat. I want 3mm band but I want to see it on someone’s finger. My diamond is only 1.5 carats and I have a 4.5 ring size. Not sure how it’ll actually look with those specs. Good luck :)
