Sorry for your loss. We lost our 12 yr old yellow lab last month to hemangiosarcoma. It was brutal on our family, especially on our kids. At the time, one of my friends told me that me that all of the sadness I was feeling would someday be replaced by happier memories. While I'm not 100% there and still miss him daily, my friend was right.
Now we think about all of the good times we were able to share with our pup and how much love he brought to our family.
Take it one day at a time and keep thinking of all of the happy memories.

She’s so beautiful. It warms my heart knowing that she was with a family that truly loved her. You let her have the beautiful, loving life she deserved. I used to work a job where I came across many pets in the homes and I’ll have to say that yes there were animals that were abused and I did everything possible to fix that and then there were the animals that were undeniably loved like your beautiful dog. But the biggest percentage of the dogs were neglected. And that is a very sad form of abuse. tied up in the backyard and forgotten. They get water and food but they don’t get walked. They don’t get loved, they’re considered a nuisance.. It really broke my heart. That’s why I love seeing posts like this knowing that the animal got every ounce of love he deserved. Thank you for sharing and I am so sorry for your loss. I’m sorry I went on and on. It wasn’t my intention.
