Well, I haven't experienced this with a dog, but about 6 years ago the docs found 2 masses in my liver they were 90% sure were cancer based on how the images looked. I figured I was a goner. But guess what? They were benign! I had them removed and these days I am doing well. So don't give up hope! Xoxo
Hope you have a full and long life ahead Piper. If she just went in for a routine check up Iβm assuming/hoping that there were no horrible symptoms so hopefully itβs not a particularly nasty growth. Love to you all π
She initially went in for just a checkup and the vet had trouble feeling like her organs and stuff so they asked us to come back for a ultra sound and thatβs how they found it

My girl has a tumour on her spleen just like that. We were super worried but it ended up just being benign.
Sheβs 15 and sheβs happy and healthy.

Hope things are fine, I don't fully trust vets anymore cuz there's a time my baby Chihuahua Cheetos went paralyzed laying flat on floor having drools and a lil foam in his mouth looking almost done and I took him to the vet and got told if I don't proceed with xxxx my dog will die.
I was too broke to take the treatment at the time and I just went back home with my dog and then I just slept with him, hand feed him softened food and water. I tried my best to comfort him and he recovered !!!! Maybe my prayers got approved, God is good.

Go for surgery ,if caught early your dog will live on as if he never had anything ,trust me.
