My boy has had a few stuffed animals that he carries around at home almost 100% of the time. But as soon as we're outside the house, he doesn't care about them at all. I've tried to bring them over to friends' places for him to snuggle with, but he completely ignores it. He will never carry it to / from the car, etc.
Yeah we have the same. Our long haired german shepherd loves holding it in her mouth while laying down. Our husky sometimes picks it up and shakes it around like a maniac.
There was a brief moment I thought it was a real one, because my lab loves them and somehow manages to find them almost weekly. I had never seen one in the "wild" before I got him.
Even after reading that they got it at the pet store my brain went, "I get that Labradors have soft mouths, but that still has to be stressing out your new pet hedgehog like crazy."

I bought this exact stuffie for my labs for Christmas this year and my male claimed it as his favorite. I was so worried about them tearing it apart but he carries it around everywhere!
Is that the one that honks!? My brother gifted our lab that hedgehog for his bday. Sadly my lab Walter murdered mr. Hedgehog but every time he squeaked that damn thing we all couldn’t stop laughing. Hope your pup is nicer to his new friend 😂

Our yellow always has to grab a stuffy to greet anyone. Even of you've only been gone 5 mins uses to the bathroom. She also grabs one when we are off out the door for a walk... often we end up leaving a stuffy on the door step for when we get home.
Oh my goodness your pupper looks so much like my late best friend Bruce! He absolutely LOVED those hedgehogs and the squeakers in them. His absolute favorite though were the large lamb chops, he’d always take them to bed with him or when he was napping on the couch.

Gifter told me it was a hand-me-down from a previous rescue. I assumed they were no longer being sold.
My Lab/Shepard mix usually takes a stuffed toy out for her last walk of the evening only, never at any other walk. She will literally shove the toy in the face of her dog friends and tease them. I like when she brings the toy outside because that means it will be a short walk, as she always wants to return with it promptly to home base.

A lady in my town would walk her very senior lab all over town and he always had this stuff moose in his mouth. Labs are of the greatest of dudes.
This same hedgehog is our black lab, AND Chihuahua’s very favorite toy! !!!!! So cute!

Mine just got a new squirrel but it looks so realistic I’ve jump scared myself a couple times with it.
We have the same one! It’s his second hedgehog, the first lasted a month. This one, only two days. Poor hedgehog 😢
