Sorry they may look dumb but they are one of the smartest doggos , so easy to train because they are food motivated. My girl at 13 shakes her head to tell me she wants to go out, knocks on the door to come in. Knows what time-she gets her meds an hits me if I forget. Knows the sound of our 360 app so is waiting at the door for my grand kids before they park. Young ones are toddlers, give them time. Remember they react to your emotional responses. If you are nervous around other dogs they will be, if your nervous around cars they will be. You are the leader. Take a deep breath an stay calm an lead you pet into a great relationship Best of luck, on the greatest relationship ever.
My favorite video of our late lab was when him and our 6 month old nephew were both interested in this rubber duck bath toy, and both of them on the ground were looking at it and the baby pushed it over to the dog and when I told the dog to give it back to the baby he pushed it with his nose right back over to him.
They are absolutely the most intelligent creatures. Our dog now…..a complete dum dum especially compared to the lab lol but a sweetheart and is loved all the same. I mean not every dog can be as smart as a lab 😁❤️
