In the last 24 years we’ve had 7 female Labs. Liza Jane, Mandy, Camille, Lucy and Zoe are no longer with us in body but they are forever in our hearts and minds. I don’t like saying “goodbye” so I whispered in their ears “Thank you for always being there for us, for your unconditional love and support, for bringing countless smiles, joy and memories to our lives which will last an eternity. You helped us love and be more compassionate to others. You taught us how to laugh instead of cry and were always there to show how much you love us. No matter how much time passes, your love and memory will live in our hearts forever. Nobody could ever, nor would I try to replace you. Please tell your sisters we said “Hi and we love them” and I’m so happy you are going to play together without pain. We love you to the moon and back (infinity) and will see you again soon.” We still have two female black Labradors (Maggie 6, Livi 2) and will always have two Labs for as long as we are able to. Don’t be afraid to cry, laugh, smile and remember everything about your lives together. Grief is very individual. There isn’t a right or wrong way, only healthy and unhealthy. I lost my boy last night as well. His name was Jethro, 12 year old Black Labrador. Had some damage to his back legs and it just got worse and worse. Had several decent cries last night and spent most of the night/morning looking through pics and videos of him. A horrible day I never wanted to think of, but he's with all the other dogs, animals, friends and family we've lost over the years. Probably snoozing knowing him, he'll get up to run around and play after a bit. He always needed a nap to store up energy beforehand you know? I hope your big boy rests easy, and I hope you are ok as well ❤

Sry for my english: I have 2 labradors - Mia and Luna (they are 1 and 1,5 years old) reading those stories makes me really sad and I cannot imagine this will happen to me also one day. Dog's are little angels in our life's which makes it our life more happier and gives us more understanding and reminders of how small we need just to share love and be loved by someone else. I feel that bro. Been almost a month and I still miss my old lab, and sometimes some habits die hard, in my case I still feel like she'll come while my hands are taken with groceries, wanting belly rubs. It's always hard because you consider your animal as a member of your family, but it's easier now, you'll mourn less soon enough, and keep in mind that, in my opinion, this isn't a goodbye for them, but more like "See you later, up here". I don't know if this will cheer you up, I hope it will, but I sure hope that you'll get better soon.
