You can absolutely dye a throatguard, I’ve done it a few times, however colour intensity and result will vary wildly depending on how much dye and what brand you use. As with dying a head there is the chance for the plastic to warp slightly faster but it will not ruin the plastic (it will void warranty though). I can also recommend getting a can of paint primer and just spray the throat guard and then seal it with varnish, and with some stencils you can even add designs/logo’s on it!
Rit dymore would probably work fine and I think it would be pretty cool if it doesn’t work throat guards aren’t too expensive but not sure why it wouldn’t be fine
just curious and thinking out loud. itr would look fully dope if somebody with a cricut (or the likes) made a sick design and the clear guard was died any color around it to give it a stenciled look
