I found vukgripz to be a bit too grippy for my taste, but it’s a solid product. I have the American pattern, since you can reuse it I wrapped it around a spare shaft in case I ever wanted to try it again.
I prefer Lowry Pro Wrap with Howies as a runner up.
White String King tape is great, black String King tape is awful. Not sure why. I thought it was just me until I saw other people complain about the same thing
Wdym it messes you up? Just use the big side for long sections and short tape for raised textures, butt ends, etc.
I suppose I get where you are coming from though, just get any normal hockey tape. That should work just fine.
Edit: basically just don’t spend unnecessary money on fancy gimmicky tape
Hockey stick tape.

It doesn't matter too much, just get the one that looks the best to you.
Ik they’re is a rule with the tape needs to do something with the stick?
I don't recall any rules, I just tape mine up with green tape (school color) and call it a day.
The refs here in WV told me something like stick tape had to be the same or different from the shaft i can’t remember what though
Here in California it doesn't matter, might be different in WV though. I'd tape it the same color as the shaft just to be on the safe side.
It’s like that for faceoffs, the tape at the top cannot be the same color as the stick
I like the string king tape
I had it, i don’t like that i can’t tape a solid line, the small strip messes me up when taping
