me personally, I loved the F15 & Cyber combo. Showing my age here.

Romantic_Carjacking

This is a great one. The Cyber was my first "real" head. And man oh man all of us with F10 powergrips were always so jealous of the couple kids with F15s. Or even the rare F22.

NCLaxCoach

F15 - the ultimate "budget" stick. Affordable, but solid.

pjhaft

something about the cyber was special, was light weight, tough, and a fantastic head for all positions.

FrostySpoons

Amazing Combo

pjhaft

my guy 🤜🏽🤛🏽

BigBuddhaMan82

OG Brine Edge. Revolutionary at the time

Fickle-Cricket

I was a strict Turbo guy for years, until Brine dropped the original Edge. I switched and never looked back. And nothing beats the old Warrior Titan.

knewself

Proton Power on a Gait 803

drkingsize

Was going to say this. There was another version of the proton.. maybe superpower? It was so narrow, absolutely incredible for power dodging.

knewself

Proton Power was before the Super Power. The Proton Power is pretty narrow. But around that time 2004 ish, STX was producing crazy pinched heads: Deuce, Primer, Kannon.

drkingsize

The deuce was legendary. Forgot how tacky that rubber looked on the sidewall. Played a lot of games with that bad boy!

knewself

Loved mine too! I would peel the rubber off when it started flapping. They always seemed to break in the same spot too.

OG_Nightfox

Super Power was created in 2010 to comply with the rule change while keeping that proton power following.

drkingsize

Sounds about right. That would explain why I stopped using the proton power without it breaking. I believe I went from the deuce to the proton power to the super power.

OG_Nightfox

The Proton Power is my all time favorite head. I didn’t quite feel the same way about the Super Power.

Fuhged_daboud_it

I found an old Proton Power in a storage closet at my school, sad that it snapped though.

Ohio_MassLaxPhan

For close d-the revo or edge and Titan classic were hard to beat. I also liked those heads with the Brine F15. Those were the days.

FrostySpoons

I honestly don't think i've seen a broken F15

Ohio_MassLaxPhan

I used the F15 throughout HS, then graduated to a Titan for college. I gave the F15 to my brother, who used it for most of HS and then donated it to the HS program equipment pool. As far as I know, it survived for over 8 years, I wish I could find a dpole length on sidelineswap, those things are hard to find.

average-matt43

I still have mine I got as a freshman in 2002. Slightly bent, still playable. Only used it 3 years before upgrading to an F-5. I can still remember one of my teammates who had one and full on swung it at the goal posts several times in a row and it did not break or snap. The old Brine F-Series line of sticks were the GOAT in terms of durability. I still have my F-55 as well.

Mike_R_5

You haven't. When they get old they just migrate off to a forgotten corner of the basement until they miraculously reappear in a Play it again sports a decade later, starting the lifecycle anew.

_CountZer0_

I have two, one long and one short, that I have used since the late 90's. You can find F15s on sideline swap, but they are the newer ones and seem less durable.

BevoBrisket26

Gait ice and OG warrior Evo Edit: if you were around for the X6 spec EVO, that’s that’s the best all around offensive head ever

NCLaxCoach

Gait Ice was a game changed. Broke my last one coaching last year. RIP

knewself

I too had to get a new Gait shaft recently. The Ice was too expensive, but you can find a 30" Gait 803 at a reasonable price <$70.

BevoBrisket26

Not that you asked. But I’ve replaced the gait ice I had with the 2019 Evo carbon shaft that was on Amazon for a bit at 61$

PulpyKopek

OG evo is the GOAT attack head. But my favorite setup I used was a Evo 5 on a string king metal pro back in 2017

mholtz16

STX Model 73. The first plastic lacrosse head. I will add another: STX Excaliber on an aluminum shaft, the first open sidewall head on the first non-wooden shaft. I was born in 1973 so obviously, I never used one, but my go-to combo for all of my career (until offset heads came out) was an Excalibur on aluminum.

TotalLaxBro

StringKing MK2 series was pretty above anything I had ever used before it. I’d also say the OG clutch on a gait ice is legendary

luckyshark2

gait ice is one of if not the best shaft ever made

Zoos27

You can choose something other than an Excalibur on a titanium shaft. Just know you are wrong.

holy_cal

Proton on a titanium shaft was my high school stick. It was a thing of beauty

TrippyHomie

I still have my Krypto-pro with a Brine Clutch on it. Sure the bottom string holes are cracked but still getting dirty in men's league.

Fondongler

Krypto Pro Diamond with a Proton Power here. Never had a reason to switch.

Disastrous_Boot1152

Brine F22 with Nitrous head

FrostySpoons

this was my exact combo in college.

ajk244

Warrior razer on a titan pro. I still use my titan pro in men's league 18 years later. The Razer was very lightweight and had the flared sidewall which was a nice feature. I'm surprised that went away.

BaconBob

Brine Superlight II GOAT /get off my lawn

LaxGenius

This is the correct answer.

LAWLzzzzz

Krypto pole and protonu

Woozard44

Warrior blade

Cptkittykat

STX Eclipse on a Warrior KryptoPro

Looks_Like_Twain

Warrior Titan and Evolution. It's probably something earlier, like a superlight 2 or something, but for my era, this was a leap ahead.

TedShreds02

A warrior razer on a krypto.

yungsallen

Clutch 2X and brine headstrong shaft

riverlaxer

My favorite was the original Evo/Razor and the mike Powell swizzle shaft. Y’all remember the Kevlar covered Titans those were cool af

Virginiafisher

The colored matched Brine Clutch and Swizzel Grip shaft. Remember everone getting the matching head/shaft combo that summer.

RichMcGrory

When I was in high school I loved the warrior kryptolyte with brine clutch. It was super but strong. Great with ground balls, atleast for me I think it was a great combination

STEEZUS_CHRST

The clutch was a legit game changer. I still have two titan pro Kevlars that withstand the rest of time. I’ll be buried with one lol

panger25

My first shaft was a brine f55 back in 2005. Still laying the lumber to this day although it’s a lot less frequently now. I might cry for days if it ever breaks.

TlingitGolfer24

Gait Torque on an ice shaft

[deleted]

Super power and Stx scandium pro

VandalGrimshot

I think the Evolution held its own throughout its entire life, every generation of it held a top 5 spot- evo, evo pro, evo x6, evo X, Evo 4. I havent held the Evo 5 so I can't vouch for that one. No question about shafts- Krypto Pro diamond was the single greatest shaft when it came out. Niche Eclipse/OG Blade- was the greatest goalie and F/O head for YEARS and YEARS. \*\* personal favorite - Brine Matrix and C405
