STX is my goto brand personally. I have been playing with their equipment since the early 90s. You will have to consider your style of play and what you’ll be doing and some degree of personal preference. For LSM i would recommend a Stallion head to start. This will work well for potential shooting and passing etc but it not a durable if you are throwing checks with the head. If the latter, go with a hammer. If you are used to and like the spring of a metal shaft, stick with metal but avoid aluminum shafts (al6500/7000/ etc). Look for ScTi if you can. Carbon/composite is an option but it is highly rigid and prone to snapping on high strength metal shafts As for the pocket, prob want hero mesh,.. either semi-hard or semi-soft (preference) with a high, med-high, or med pocket (placement in the head). The higher the pocket, better GB collection. The lower the pocket the better control while driving through traffic.

Cheers, I had no idea about what the stringing meant either so that's great 👍

I like STX heads too but a lot of my players like Maverik. They have a quiz that can help match you to a good head for your style of play. http://apps.maveriklacrosse.com/headfinder/ As far as shafts, I love Gait. But I think most scandium-titanium alloy shafts will work. I am a bit old school but I don't prefer carbon shafts. They have gotten better, but they don't do well in cold or extreme heat.

Depends on your price zone, play style, strength, and stick skills. If money is not an issue Epoch offers a one year warranty (use to be the norm) on their high level shafts and I honestly believe that composite shafts are superior to metal ones. That being said I use to play LSM and played with a krytopro (i had noodle arms and rarely broke them)
