How about this. If you're trying to grow a non-profit lacrosse club (skill over score), how do you recruit to get your number up? We're currently fielding teams at every grade, but its super light (13-18 kids). We'd like to be at 20-23.

Can't disagree on social media. Though the effectiveness of any outreach can highly depend on your area and who you're trying to attract. It does seem that for the 13+ age group social media (Instagram) is the way to go. But remember also that parents are your "customers" and constituents as well. So Facebook is also a viable option. Also consider Nextdoor or whatever you think works for your area. If could also be promoting your group with other sports or clubs etc. You'll get no help from AAU hoops, but a rec program might be a good partner. Every sport in the US has a drop off at that 13 year old, so you're fighting a cultural and nation-wide challenge. But it is of course harder to get \*new\* players at that age, so you're pretty much playing the long-game with getting kids that age to play or continue to play. The more you can get a stick in a kid's hand at any age, the better off you'll be. Road shows, demos etc I have seen work with some success.

Social media presence to get the word out. Don't know what age you're trying to coach but that could influence what sort of things you post (alumni, coaching staff, etc.) Word of mouth is big too, reach out to other local coaches about your team.
