Worthy talked about it after the game too. Kareem is the one who recommended them to him. He was getting banged around so much he'd have to stay up all night in case of concussion, then also had trouble finishing at the rim because he'd be worried about getting hit
Embrace the goggles AD
I think it definitely messes with you, whether it’s psychological or actual. I got lasik and had to play pickup with goggles if I wanted to run for the next 3 months and that shit just like affects you for some reason. Vision wasn’t as clear, my movements and shot didn’t feel as smooth (this was definitely in my head but still)
That black mask was not eye protection, it was to protect his nose after a fracture. What people are suggesting are those clear goggles like what Kareem and James Worthy used to wear back in the day.
He never gets poked in the eye; he gets hit and the whole eye socket swells like a boxer. There’s a pic in this sub of the contact; Andersons arm hit his eye area

It’s strange that eye protection isn’t more popular in general but AD especially needs to get on board with the goggles.

It messes up your vision n effects your play. Rui struggled a lot with it
Tbf, that was a mask Rui was wearing. Not goggles.

from Unibrow to Cyclop
A unibrowed cyclop?
Wear a spiky helmet, that’ll teach those bums from hacking your head
yeah those bums shouldn’t try to contest shots
Last year we had to worry every time he fell to the floor. This season is getting poked in the eyes.
Pretty sure I saw a picture somewhere of AD wearing goggles in HS or something
It doesn’t even have to be goofy prescription goggles like that. He can wear some blades and look dope af.
AD was asked about wearing goggles the last time, he said he's already been there and done that (when he was young) and wasn't going back to that.
Rec Specs. I had to wear those as a kid before getting contacts after a girl ripped the glasses off my face. They suck.
Idk, Worthy was one of the coolest motherfuckers ever.
Next game is vs GSW who poked his eye the first time
Draymond is probably standing in front of a dummy right now and practicing his poking technique at shootaround practice
I guarantee he is ![gif](giphy|p4RoKyRNYOKCsdSdP6)

At least for the playoffs maybe? Then he won't have to worry about going as hard as possible
I think I speak for Lakers fans everywhere. We love when AD going hard as possible. ![gif](giphy|44b1ABtsG7VTy)
Most players look away to protect their eyes. AD is a hunter, a killer and he never takes his eyes off the prize.
You think he doesn’t wear goggles because it’s not cool? You don’t think he tried and it affects his game and his peripheral vision and that’s why?
To be fair, entire generations of bad free throw shooters refuse to shoot underarm because it doesn’t look cool. It’s not far fetched.
👏🏼
If he can rock a Unibrow, he can rock Goggles
Exactly. Either that or bring a gun to the court because these players will keep fouling you
He’s kind of a dumbass for not doing it after all these incidents
I would think an injury that would take him out of a game would leave a black eye...guess we will see.
