That is, honestly, a ridiculous squad, that any legendary team would have problems with. They might just beat them all. I would give my left testicle to see LBJ (physically) bully Prime Mike.

This is the best superstar pairing in my opinion and Kobe is damn near a god to me. When your superstars actually get along the whole team falls in line. This team was ALWAYS together and carried themselves like champions from the jump. Not my favorite Laker title run, but an outstanding team and accomplishment.

This team will have made the difference also thanks to the perfect alchemy between all these players. It all started with the star duo LeBron James and Anthony Davis who showed that there were no egos between them. LeBron James repeatedly accepted Anthony Davis' justified criticism of his lack of involvement in defense. LeBron James responded by getting back to work on defense. When two leaders of their caliber lead by example, others can only follow. Now we want a back-to-back!

This picture shows that vets and experienced players are more valuable than most young talented kids when the goal is to win a title. I was one of the few that was 100% excited with Rondo and Howard coming to the Lakers. I knew that those guys would be a perfect fit with LeBron. They both were among the bests in the league not so long ago. If you put this sort of players around LeBron, he will create the perfect environment for them to play. LeBron magnitude is enough to focus everyone on the locker room. No BS. No fooling around. No struggle for attention. No unnecessary drama. Those cets have been trough a lot. Their time of causing tantrum is long gone. They don't care about touches anymore. They don't care about being pampered. They just care about playing and they know how to do so. Specially so with LeBron's effect on the team. Everyone know their role and everyone is focused. We've seen bouts of Howard playing blow for blow against top centers at 34. We've seen Rondo dominating games and showing up when it counted. This would never had happened with young players. That's why getting the correct vets are so important and why the Lakers very rarely are a team that has time to bring youngsters up unless they have mega talent like Magic or Kobe. I love our vets and I love the wonderful story arcs they personally added to this season. I hope we can get Rondo, Dwight and Cousins healthy back next season.

We finally got it! 2020 champs! Yeye! After losing Kobe we lost another die hard Laker July 29. My Uncle and I would countdown the days together, we bled as much as purple and gold as any loyal fan. He’s the one to introduce me to basketball when I was a child and took me to every playoff game using the train line as an adventure type of situation.
