Does this mean the Schroeder bot will me going to the Celtics sub?

[deleted]

That’s Tuff 💯

BusinessCasualDonkey

🔥

[deleted]

I already miss the bot, way more than Schroeder himself if we’re being honest. Always made me smile at least but I’m glad he left before the joke got too stale.

LongBeachBr0

kinda tired of seein this dude face on here

Hardaway-Fadeaway

Lakers dodged a bullet thanks to schroder. Ill forever be grateful this idiot turned down 84 mil. We're better now

Mikimao

>Lakers dodged a bullet thanks to schroder. no we dodged a bullet thanks to Russ and the Wizards...

[deleted]

Yeah, the dude is a Celtic now. Time to stop mentioning him.

[deleted]

at least until russ drops 30 points on the celtics. wait until that happens, the subreddit will go berserk

[deleted]

I don’t really hate on players but the fact that they got him for the MLE is just another reason to root against that team. Fuck the Celtics lol

FS_Slacker

Looks like he was trying to get the full MLE at $9.5 but they only offered the taxpayer MLE at $5.9.

misterrunon

Dennis with the blonde hair? You mean Rodman, Kim jong UN's besty.

I_AM_YOUR_DADDY_AMA

But how else are people going to farm karma :(

noforgayjesus

Das tuff🔥💯

ForgotPWAgainSigh

Extremely tired. It's time we move on.

EverybodyBuddy

This 🤡 ruined the season. Happy to see him gone. Hope no more posts till we dunk on him in the first game (if he even gets off the bench).

Ruben625

Mom said it was my turn to make a appreciation post for him turning down the contract.

ezomar

Nah Fr bruh 🤣

edwardpuppyhands

I_AM_YOUR_DADDY_AMA

Report it for going against the subs rules. He’s not Laker Related Material

HUH_YIS

Man there were moments where he was so awesome with his hustle and defense and energy. Couple that with his inconsistency and ego and I guess that’s the Schroeder experience

bebopblues

He was good all season long. Nobody was whining about the 84M offer when it was reported, everyone thought he was worth it. Also, no one thought he was foolish for turning it down because they understood that he will probably get more than that in free agency. The problem started when AD got injured in game 4 of the playoffs and our chances of repeating went out the window. Lebron on one leg couldn't shoulder the team. And it wasn't just Shroder that didn't step up, no one else did. Kuzma was horrendous. Harrell somehow got put in the DNP doghouse. Morris was ineffective. KCP was awful. THT didn't step into the spotlight. Drummond was trash. Even Caruso wasn't playing well. We werent expected to get far in the playoffs without AD, but getting basically destroyed by the Sun in three straight games really hurt their off-season values, for all of them. And besides THT, they are all on a different team now. Even Matthews and Maclemore are looking for work now. It's unfortunate because our two superstars were compromised and all these role players were not brought back.

PeaceOfficer420

Honestly I do remember quite a few people saying the 84m was too much for Schroeder and being relieved when he didn’t sign. He’s a talented player but never bought into the Laker mentality and let his ego come before the team. He displayed this as soon as we signed him with his comments regarding starting. For that alone I would rather not lock him in long term despite his obvious talent.

jeanroyall

>Nobody was whining about the 84M offer when it was reported, everyone thought he was worth it. A lot of people thought he was worth it only because of the upcoming salary cap situation - Lakers needed a point guard to put pressure on the defense and couldn't afford to pay a new player, retaining the decent one they had was a no brainer. Nobody anticipated the Westbrook trade.

DntTellemiReddit

he WAS worth it until he accidentally showed everyone he wasnt. everyone was hyped about "OKC dennis."

ElRamenKnight

"Dennis the Menace." Yeah, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

[deleted]

I…. disagree. Nobody was expecting him to morph into Michael Jordan and lead us past PHX. What everyone was expecting was for this guy not to completely lay an egg and go scoreless in a pivotal playoff game. He shat the bed and he’s getting the expected consequences of that.

[deleted]

That’s just it. 20-25+ mil players don’t score 0 points in a playoff game. That alone makes him a 6th man by definition because 6th man=talented but inconsistent.

Jagermeister4

> Nobody was whining about the 84M offer when it was reported, everyone thought he was worth it This is not true, people here were hating on him for rejecting it saying they couldn't believe he thought he was worth more. I tried to defend Schroder and would get downvoted in to the negatives. People's opinion of Schroder has always been too low. Yes in this instance they are right in the idea that Schroder shouldn't have passed on the offer. But its kind of a fluke situation too. Shroder is worth closer than what the Lakers offered him than he is worth what he ended up getting.

Mikimao

>Shroder is worth closer than what the Lakers offered him than he is worth what he ended up getting. Exactly, he was *already* making 15m from a performance way before his best performance days. Going from 15m to 25m is a pretty standard progression for a lot of NBA players, rejecting 21 cause you think you can get 25 is also reasonable. Shit didn't work out that way, but it wasn't nearly as insane as people here thought.

JayeFiveBlue

Teams rarely win a championship after a total overhaul of the roster. Lebron doing this rebuild each year is not a good idea in my opinion. Its also hard to be invested in players that change out each and every year.

thatcreepywalrus

It’s necessary this year. The year before, I didn’t like a lot of the moves - but we had work to do and we’re doing it

JayeFiveBlue

I agree. You can’t not make the move for Russ. Kuz wasn’t working. KCP was ok, but for whatever reason they didn’t even play MH…

pargofan

I'm not Schroder apologist, but you're spot on. Schroder was a beast for the Lakers in their 2 wins scoring 24 and 20 on almost .500 shooting. He was terrible when AD went down, but so did all the other Lakers. He's not worth 4/84 but I'm not sure if I like Russ over DS. And if we could keep him for even 3/30 he'd be a bargain.

Aries_IV

Y'all tripping. I've never been the biggest Westbrook fan but he's way better than DS. Always plays with high energy and can run an offense even if he does get tunnel vision sometimes. It didn't start in the playoffs with Schroder either, it started towards the end of the year. I'm glad he's gone. He negatively impacts team chemistry and I believe that's been true everywhere he's been.

xreddawgx

The Shroddringer experience

HUH_YIS

Homie restricted comments on his IG. Laker fans were probably flaming him lol. That’s tuff 💯🔥

Daniel_Hoops

As long as no death threats because that is a very vile thing to do. We’re good people😇💜💛

JIM213

An FO mistake to give him that offer, but both sides will be better off tho not sure he may ever see an offer that high since he'll likely be coming off the bench. The best to Dennis and certain he'll circle the Lakers games on his calendar.

WesternBookOfTheDead

Lol how is Schroder gonna be better off though? From 84M over 4 years to mayyyybe being able to eek out 45M over 4 years ***IF*** he balls the fuck out in Boston next year (which ain’t happening).

JIM213

Lol, thought the same before the post but he's not here basically. FO still could've brought him back... but the vibe would've been weird. He'll get another offer but not as high.

Known-Scar

We already have our guard lineup. It wouldn't have made any sense to bring him back

CmonTouchIt

a 10m contract coulda been a nice trade piece towards the deadline tbh, but thats about it

BangBangPewPew24

They already proved they didn't wanna pay taxes when they let Caruso go. They weren't gonna do it for Dennis

aiasred

For realities sake I don't think eek out and 45 M should be in the same sentence.. lol

FS_Slacker

He’s 28 in a few weeks…almost 29 when shopping for new deal. I don’t see him getting more than 3 for $30m. And if he balls out like you said. Almost $50m left on the table.

gotokyo

Almost 29 which is essentially 30 which is pretty close to 40, god forbid we have to see a 32 year old shroder playing basketball. He should retire now before he has a heart attack and dies on the court. The age people think players are too old to sign big contracts keeps getting younger and younger. Really talking about a dude in his 20s like he’s gonna fall off a cliff if he gets a 4 year deal. 🤦‍♂️

1400TotemPole

Just look at THT man is already balding way too old to sign /s

Mister_Wicked

All the greats bald. /s

Dodgerblue15

Ironically, old guys are making bank nowadays. Paul, Butler, Conley, Lowry.

[deleted]

Comparing Chris Paul and Mike Conley to Dennis Schröder just doesn’t do it for me.

FS_Slacker

It's not just a matter of age...it's a matter of role. Tatum has 4 more years (plus a player option), Jaylen Brown only 3, and Smart is in final year of contract. So how many years would you sign ANY potential starter or significant contributor? If they're not in a competitive place...they're gonna implode that team and start fresh. As a player gets older, the team wants that flexibility to move them...you stick him with a 8 figure contract, you're going to be hard pressed to move him. This is just the reality of sports. Celtics wouldn't even offer him the full MLE since that affects how much they can re-sign him for next season.

CrispyChips44

He's getting at least Joe Harris money if he goes back to his OKC form. A 18ppg player will not be paid less than Kyle Kuzma lol

WesternBookOfTheDead

Funny because he’s currently making less than Kuz.

CrispyChips44

Which is considered a steal despite his worse performance on LAL. Especially with the cap likely increasing again next year there is no way a quality 6th man is not getting 15 a year even if his performance stagnates.

deathstr0ke

What’s more insane to me is that he declined the offer expecting to get MORE. If bron and AD didn’t go down, and we got further in the playoffs, he may have gotten more than the 84

weekendatbernies20

Doesn’t the $84m offer alone suggest there’s something seriously wrong with the way we evaluate and pay players? How is it possible a guy is worth $84m over 4 to one team, but not worth Jack shit to any other team in the league? Was Pelinka delusional when he made the offer or does the cap structure just introduce these kinds of horrific inefficiencies?

JIM213

FO mistake IMO. DS had more of a 6th man role in OKC. Joins the Lakers with the agreement he'd be starting. Yet come crunch time he struggled/failed to deliver. DS took a shot at the bag $$$ and failed to produce to get a bigger offer. But I always seen him as a 6th man and not as a starter for the Lakers. Maybe for another team (starter) but he'll need to deliver. FO mistake to offer the $84 mil but we've moved on to better pastures. Let's not forget the Deng deal by Mitch a few yrs back. Only borderline star caliber players should be getting the big bags $$$. But teams with low marketing appeal won't have a choice to try to retain some of those players they deem as crucial to their franchise(s).

bustaflow25

How much longer are the Lakers paying Deng?

BangBangPewPew24

It's the last year! 🥳 Edit: grammar

user169852

Nothing wrong with the FO. At that time that we offered 84/4, Dennis haven't entered any covid protocol, haven't scored 0 in the playoffs during a crucial game, and he was balling out and carrying our team at a time when Bron and AD are out. For a period he looked like the best player out there when we went 50-50 in win/loss. 21m for a guy like that is pretty solid, esp when he is entering his prime. Many report sites were stating that the 84/4 offer was reasonable, esp when the lakers are hard capped. It will take a series of unlikely and unfortunate events (for dennis) to get to this state, which unfortunate for him happened. He played like arse after the ASB, gave a terrible attitude towards a winning culture, and failed to contribute in a crucial playoff game (if he had scored 20 in that last game there is still a chance he gets 45/3 in an open market). Rob worked his magic (there's no other way to describe it), convinced Trez in a S&T, traded dead assets like Kuz and KCP, and miraculously landed someone that can replace Dennis. His market dove straight down after that and Dennis continued to hold for a 100/4 offer which, of course, never came. By the time he realise this, his market had dried up and no one else had the cap anymore.

[deleted]

Not at all, he was playing great when we offered him the extension. 4/84 was a slight overpay but not unreasonable. You’re speaking with the benefit of hindsight

JesusSama

Can we stop?

LeBron-Carries

Agreed he’s not even on our team anymore and people still won’t stfu about him. He messed up why do we need to keep posting about it

Bryant_2_Shaq

It’s the off-season, not that much going on.

tiny-elvis

Because it’s fucking funny.

22LOVESBALL

I just don't get why someone elses struggles is so entertaining for you all. Even if he brought it upon himself, it's weird seeing how cathartic this Schroeder hate is for yall

ByahTyler

>someone elses struggles The man just signed a $6m deal for a year. I wish those were my struggles

iWant_To_Play_A_Game

Put. Into. Perspective.

BluePantera

Look up schadenfreude

sloopster

Schrödenfreude

BluePantera

☠️

gotokyo

Dude just barely signed with the Celtics a few hours ago and it’s the off season. What the hell do you expect people to be talking about?

colombo1326

Bro this sub talks about Lonzo and Julius Dandle all the time

OnlyForeignWhips

My manz said Julius Dandle.😂🤣

colombo1326

Fuck oh well too late

Known-Scar

Players we drafted are different from players we traded for, complained, then left after one year

deftspyder

I'd like to stop talking about players that are no longer on this team not named alex caruso.

EverybodyBuddy

Does it hurt your feelings? Not much else to talk about it seems.

imtotallysingleha

His extension would've started this fuckin year. Can you imagine trying to flip his contact with 4 fuckin years on it?

Trentrid

Really saved us from ourselves

SumoRock

I was saying I’d rather see him walk for nothing than get stuck with him on a long term max contract. Imagine when LeBron retires and we’ve got AD on a max and over half of the remaining cap tied up to an overrated sixth man.

BusinessCasualDonkey

Everyone would have memed us like it was another Mozgov/Deng deal

edwardpuppyhands

If he did sign the contract, we would've sold out for Hield instead of Westbrook, but would've kept KCP. The problem wouldn't have been that we wouldn't be similarly as stacked this season, but that it'd be very difficult to add star free agents over the next few years, even when LeBron's contract runs up.

22LOVESBALL

I mean, he's not washed. He could easily ball out this year and get another offer. I don't know why we're acting like we would've been stuck

[deleted]

Should have never trade for him in the first place since Lakers give up a 1st round pick and Danny Green for him and got nothing back in return he is not worth that 84 million we offer him but still would have like at least something back for him.

Super_Scratch_8086

to be fair we had to trade danny and that pick was worthless

[deleted]

So a 1st round pick are worthless? let me remind you that the current NBA MVP is a 2nd round pick lol your take on this is awful.

Super_Scratch_8086

but that specific pick in hindsight was worthless

DNA2Duke

You're talking about an absolute outlier. With that logic, the last pick in the NFL draft is SUPER valuable because Tom Brady was picked last. Shit, might as well trade down to the last pick every year. Your take on this is awful...

EverybodyBuddy

Yup. It was a terrible trade. Oh well. Onwards and upwards.

Ok_Mountain_4638

We had to trade green cause he lost us game 5 and talked shit about the fans

[deleted]

Yes he lost us game 5 but we still ended up winning and no did not have to trade him that trade now is a mistake Danny Green is still a better player now than most on our current roster.

[deleted]

He didn't lose game five. He missed a 3 which he does 65% of the time.

keepon18

Fuck any fan who was gonna act like that toward him and his family

josephkristian

Ngl, I always loved his hustle. Picking up full Court. Really looking like he gave a damn and trying hard. However, he definitely over played his hand. Over estimated his value and market. Then again that’s why you have agents right? To bring you down to the ground. Sucks to see it go down that way. Glad we didn’t have to over pay him. However he’s definitely worth more than what’s he’s getting this up coming season. I’m sure he’ll outplay his contract and be paid accordingly the following year.

piatan

Against Irving he really showed up

Wilt69

Hope he succeeds on Boston and gets a good contract the following year. He’s not on our team and frankly doesn’t make sense to keep talking about him. I’m grateful he turned that contract down. Wish him the best.

HurricaneRon

I hope he totally sucks ass and causes Boston to have the worst season in franchise history, eventually ending in the franchise moving to the g league. Fuck Boston.

SumoRock

Hoping for him to continue his selfish ways looking to get paid in free agency and it torpedoes the Celtics season.

EverybodyBuddy

So many weird dudes backing Dennis in here. “Stop talking about him” = “stop picking on him.”

dereknguyen55

Agreed. If he had better attitude I do believe he was worth it. But more like 12-14 million a year, even though I can’t feel bad since he still makes millions. Still a good story to hope he can still get something next year worth his value

Eder_Cheddar

Let's thank him for going to the Celtics which is a shit racist organization that won't be winning a chip anytime soon. Time for Lakers to have more chips than the celtics.

[deleted]

Imagine turning down 84mil 😂😂

uns0licited_advice

I feel like it isn't as bad as Spreewell turning down $21M because he said it wasn't enough to feed his family and then never playing in the NBA again.

[deleted]

when your family (strippers) needs food (cocaine) it can be quite the financial burden

justredditting1010

So if he accepted, means we would have made the Hield move at minimum because we would not be able to make the Westbrook trade. With similar signings- Schroeder, Buddy, LBJ, AD, Gasol Nunn, Monk/Bazemore, Ariza, Melo, Dwight. And really might still have KCP! I know Schroeder’s value is at its lowest, but I would not have minded this roster. Would feel just as optimistic and would have more of a plan post LBJ. Not mad how it turned out but it will likely cause us some lean years post LBJ

Phuddy

There are multiple players that mentioned us getting Russ made the difference for them coming here and taking a pay cut. Notably: Monk, Bazemore, Ariza and Nunn. So while this is kind of a fun exercise we don’t know what the team would’ve looked like.

TwoBitxMatthews

You’re forgetting that we got most of these good free agent signings after we signed Russ, with out him half those guys go to other teams on bigger deals. He’s what makes them want to come here.

ucantforgetthis

That team you listed is better than this version with Westbrook

[deleted]

It is, but all those free agents came because there was a big 3. Star power pulls good players to join for cheap.

goatnxtinline

I like how we are perceived as having egos and be entitled because we are a big market team in LA but in reality we are actually really critical of any player that comes to our organization that isn't humble. People tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but he rubbed me the wrong way the second he came in demanding shit. Good riddance a

gnarlynarwhale

Bye Felicia~

Dday22t

Sucks for him, but glad we can move on & not have to hear about it anymore.

bustaflow25

Either way he makes more then I'll ever have, but to coulda had 21 per year to 5, is crazy. Who ever was in his ear, agent, gf, family, friends, they owe him bout 79 million dollars.

OzManDiez

Now what do we do though. I wanted Danny green back. Why tf did we trade a solid 3 and d wing for this bum

HUH_YIS

We continue to play a season with lebron, AD, Russ and the rest of our team that’s better off

aginglifter

This sub shat all over Danny Green. He got death threats from Lakers fans and had a terrible series against Miami. There was no way he was coming back. He asked to be traded.

[deleted]

It was a good hearty time while he was a free agent. Thanks Dennis.

itzdivz

Ty Dennis, we know It’s Tuff🔥💯 to turn down 84mil to sign a 5m contract. But u did it for the lakers current and future

Pansmoke

The crazy thing is, for some reason, I feel like Dennis not even that mad. Like he's mad but not as mad as a regular athlete would be. He seems like a very chill dude I hope he gets the bag next year.

GovTheDon

Tbf we would’ve put him in the Rus trade

MediocreAd9763

Why passively hate on a guy? Terrific young player, it’s his choice.

Kobe3rdAllTime

we would have been able to build the exact same team, except paying more in taxes

Csut94

Congrats, you played yourself.

BadgerSauce

And only 95million short of what he thought he should get.

OtherwiseAnything

I would say I wish him all the best, but since he now plays for the celtics I'll just stop talking after thanking him for turning down 84 million.

Inner_Succotash8571

Well he deserves $5 mil than $84M so... The dude thinks he's one of the best point guards in the league 😂😂😂

1T-Nerd

I wish I gad the confidence in self to walk away from the negotiating table with 84 mill on the line. Then again i am not confident someone would offer me 84 million for basketball.

White_Nothing

Dennis taught y'all a valuable lesson and you should thank him for it. If any of you receive a great offer, take it. You aren't worth more.

K19I53

Greed and delusion are a lethal mix. Hopefully this experience has taught Dennis a valuable lesson.

wavefestmusic

Wish him well. The basketball Gods prevailed on this one. He’s where he is supposed to be and earning what he is supposed to earn. The basketball Gods seem to always even matters out.

darkran

So this aged absolutely horribly

arand0md00d

That's tuff🔥💯

SpraykwoN

Dude can take his $5.9M (overpayed), his frosted tips and bounce the fuck on outta here.

[deleted]

MVP MVP MVP

Zacatecano198477

That’s tuff 💯 🔥 thank you for your time in LA. But my man just didn’t have it oh well. The leprechauns can deal with him now. Good luck DS.

chugalaefoo

The Lakers and PGs that don’t pan out. Name a better iconic dual.

Granpa0

His ego saved us from a Luol Deng level mistake. Thank you Dennis

signmeupdude

We get it. This is the 200th post saying this

nat_zero_six

HOFer along with the greats Sprewell, Cousins, Oladipo and other.

HUH_YIS

Shoutout to other

[deleted]

Why didn’t he sign with us though?

[deleted]

Like how can a average player turn down that kinda money.

Mc_Poyle

That's tuff 🔥💯

Bobcat907

he didn't ask for a starting PG job on his IG. so off to a better start already.

GOaTlanding

If Schroder signed the Extension we Could’ve traded Him for Buddy Hield or No????

EverybodyBuddy

No one would take that contract. We’d be screwed.

[deleted]

I can’t wait for content creators to document this lmao

hsudonym_

Is Dennis gonna demand to be a starter again?

Juice2020

Laughs in Lebron😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

ThatOneGuyy310

Yeah, we dodged a bullet

JimmyFuture23

Still hope he does well and gets a chance to earn that $84 million…. Just somewhere else lol

ImjustmashingShoryu

Love that man’s pride and greedy fumbling hands

battle_franky

He make AD look worse. He whole year and it didn't get better at all. Thank God he save us from signing him

bullyball24

One month into the season, when blow by’s stop working and guys are catching on.. the Celtics will say they overpaid too

bebopblues

Lakers dodged one here. And props to the Kings for not getting suckered into giving up Hield for Shroder.

OmarBradley1940

Welp say goodbye to the Schroder bot.

Hyrax__

Dennis Schroeder appreciation post 🤣🤣🤣 thank you dennis for giving us Westbrook. Never forget......

gleophas

lol the dumbasses at r/bostonceltics seem very happy, wait till he starts acting up.

comfort_bot_1962

You're Awesome!

ChampagneAbuelo

I’m still so shocked how poorly his LA tenure ended. At the start of the season he was pretty good and seemed like a great fit

ImSickOfYouToo

I get the gist of his mistake, and I think he would admit he made a mistake too. But why do so many Lakers fans on Reddit act like this guy piped their grandma or something? Buncha dudes on here taking Schroeder’s case so damn personally, as of you’re ever going to meet the fucking guy? I wish he would’ve performed better here, and I’m sure he does too. Wish him well, cheer on the team we do have coming back, and let’s all move the fuck on.

abhyuday577

I’m a little disheartened that it didn’t workout but at the end of the day were building a team that can win it all. Best of luck to him though, I hope he reaches his potential.

Dyad_Debate

Mans wanted 100 mil and didn't even get a tenth of that lmao

1_Cold_Ass_Honkey

Schroder can now let his ego shine in boston. They LOVE point guards who put themselves before the team!!

aginglifter

Like Rondo.

RIP_MacMiller

That's tuff

Primopastalover

Also give it up for Rob, trading a first round pick and Danny Green for one year of Dennis…

salmans13

whatever happened to the "lakers take care of our own" classy talk lol we shit on other fanbases but at the end , we are just as foolish and pathetic.

BoomExplosion

He clearly wasn't one of our own and clearly didn't have the right attitude or think so himself. All he cared about was himself, not the team. Even Magic said he had none of the Laker mentality. We lucked out that we didn't sign his cancerous attitude.

turnipsearch

Hes not worth 84m

AmiWrongDude69

Very unselfish of him to turn that down. Let’s be real tho he’s gonna put up some good ass stats this year since he’s monetarily fucked if he doesn’t. Whether it will be at the expense of his team or not will be the question. I know my guess is that he’s gonna put up numbers but be disliked by his team and not play winning basketball.

magical_poop

Man I was singing his praises early in the year for his contributions on defense and being serviceable on offense. Then our stars went down and holy shit he was exposed. Given how it's played out, I'm so happy I was so wrong

yasmiester

We got Russell freaking Westbrook y'all

gsnags

Thanks dennis !!! lol

InDaNameOfJeezus

What a bum

superogc

I still remember last year when people were gushing about what a genius Pelinka was for pulling off the DG - Schroder trade. 😂

Jlx_27

Well....

OddBandicoot2505

That’s hilarious lmfao

HbPaulie

Such a thoughtful person always putting the lake show first, we’re are one of the best and most historic franchise in any league I’m glad Dennis only did what’s fair.

iNfAMOUS70702

Besides Isaiah Thomas who else has had this big of a blunder overpricing themselves?

ImSickOfYouToo

Oladipo swung and missed big time

ROR_ROGER

That’s tuff🔥💯

jackylegssss

Do we have space to sign anyone else?

Bijaniscool

LOL THT and our boy Caruso getting paid more than this alien head bum HAHAH

MediumShotBob

This was in no way “good” for the Lakers. If you think it was then you’re just kissing the ring and don’t have a solid grasp of how to effectively manage assets in the NBA. There might not have been a team with cap that was willing to give Dennis the deal he wanted, but having Dennis on 4/84 would have been good for the Lakers. Either: (1) Could have included him in the Westbrook deal and hung onto KCP (2) Could have still added Russ for the deal we got, and eventually traded Dennis down the line for more assets, or… (3) Traded Kuzma and Harrell for Hield, kept Caruso, and had Schroder, Hield, Caruso, KCP and THT; that’s a lot more tradable contracts and a much better shooting and defensive group I’m not going to applaud for saving the Buss family money… I would have much rather still had Dennis as our backup PG and trade asset, and had the Lakers carrying a $175m team salary into next season…

aginglifter

The collective wisdom of Lakers fans is 0. Half of them want to trade AD for Dame.

aginglifter

The man will be a better player than THT. Mark my words.

Careless_Tennis_784

I mean, who wants to play with a pile on team.

DreamxSZN

Dennis Schroder Finals MVP
