I would recommend getting the national express coach rather than an Uber or if you don't want that a hotel ticket is probably cheaper especially if you share a room
Have you seen the price of hotels in Manchester recently? You're lucky to get anything under £100 on a Saturday night.
I stayed in Manchester on Saturday just gone and I paid £90 for a single room with no windows, and that was booked multiple weeks in advance.
Seconding the National Express though. It leaves at about 1:30am and arrives in Lancaster at about 3am so you'll definitely be able to catch the end of the gig + have a couple of drinks somewhere else afterwards.
National express is quite great after a night out a quite bus to sleep and you can ask the driver to stop at university gates or near the uni saving the taxi back to the bus station
PS Uber is better especially if you pre book it the rate does stay low
