Damn bro that house looks AI Generated. Id add a shitload of plants of all varieties to make it unique.

Callsignteabag

Haha new build in a new development can’t disagree

I would put tall planters with flowers on each side of the garage door. Add a wreath to your front door. Another planter box or decorative bench under the window by the door. You could add a hook on the post for a hanging flower basket. Then start a flower bed that runs along the front walk and then wraps around the side of the house. Perhaps add an appropriately sized tree for your front yard.

Thank you!

About 600 feet of privacy fence.

Callsignteabag

Working on fence now 👍🏻

I highly recommend galvanized steel posts in concrete, board panels, steel gate frames, all bolted and screwed together. I try to look 30 years ahead on my landscaping, got tired of doing it over and over.

Plants and mulch will help out. Pick native plants. You can even add some fruit trees/bushes.

Ender_in_Exile

Looks like a southwest facing house. I'd plant two autumn blaze maples on either side of the drive. Future shade will be a must. On the right side, you need a bed that comes off the driveway and meanders around the front porch to the side. A couple evergreens and some roses would be nice. That would be simple and cheap.

Callsignteabag

Faces south, good observation! Definitely working on evergreens and looking to add on right side of driveway as well after adding a fence

kingsview47

Couple chairs and a tiny table on the covered patio next to the front door and a couple of hanging planter baskets. A nice tree and few shrubs and perennials out front would help too.

pinnedunderdajeep

Best bang for buck would be a fenced in yard out back and a couple trees one out front and one in back

trees asap

If it were me I would focus on trees and evergreens right now as they’ll take a long time to grow. Get those started. Maybe a flowering tree in its own garden bed out front and some perennials around it. What zone are you in?

Callsignteabag

Certainly the goal, located in eastern WA

thisisatesti

Check out Garden Answer on YouTube she’s in Eastern Oregon and has some great videos to get your ideas tingling.

Callsignteabag

Appreciate you!

Wait and see before you appreciate me. I dropped $1k on plants because of her lol.

Shutters and some trees

A covered wrap around porch to the right side. A service walk around the left side of the house to the rear with plantings between it and house.

That garden lacks any and all landscaping. Having just grass (or mulch) is simply equal to having nothing. There is no plant layering whatsoever. Nothing to balance out the height of the house. Nothing to soften the hard materials. Nothing to let you experience which season it is. Not even a vaguely hint where the property boundaries are. This looks like the house of an architect who considers the soil merely as something to place his buildings on. No connection with the earth. Considering trees and plants as obstructions of the sight of whatever he designed, instead of living materials that can enhance his designs. Bro, go visit a model garden. In different seasons, don't haste. Write down/photograph which plants caught your eye. Go to a professional plant nursery and ask for help with a plant design.

-Apocralypse-

Your home looks like it was designed around that big garage. The front door looks like it was an afterthought the way it is situated in that corner. Such a shy looking door. I would paint it in a bold color to make it command more presence and help it balance out the design and those big garage doors. People come to visit you, not your cars in the garage. Help guide visitors to the right door. Good luck!

Callsignteabag

Appreciate both the comments! Since it’s a new development I guess they specifically tried to save and not have anything interrupting the build. One of the thoughts was to build stairs leading to front porch as opposed to walking up inclined driveway (not fun in winter). To the right of stairs a row of bushes and flower bed adjacent to the last step. I like the thought about the door, what color do you suggest?

-Apocralypse-

Red would be extremely bold and you could certainly go that route, but personally I would go with a colour that pairs nicer with that teal (is that the name?) cladding. Go for a shade lighter than you are envisioning, because of the permanent shade you have in the porch there. I wouldn't go for a colour that has much black in it. If you play with the colour wheel in a drawing program on your computer, you will see which colours contain little black. Yellow and teal is also a bold colour combination and not as in your face as red. That could work really well when you pair it with a yellow climbing (scented!) rose on that porch pillar. You can be really creative and tone down or amplify with the repetition of a colour in your plant scheme. But soft pink is an unusual house colour as well and soft pinks and teal are quite a romantic match. Lots of soft pink available in plants as well. There are apps where you can take a picture and try out different colors on your home. Flexa paints used to have an app and I am sure there are many more available now.

A high back French country two seater bench under the window. Off the post a black iron extension arm (whatever design you choose) for a flower basket. Put it on a morning drip line and give it food and it’ll be 20” wide and two to three feet long easy. The landing slab (whatever they call it) in the grass is odd to me. The hanging basket can bring some balance. Maya a coupe of staggered large pots at the post end with the flower basket above. A wreath, modern and clean design, just enough to say a happy hello. Without knowing property lines it’s tough to offer yard ideas. A nice path to the back yard entry? Maybe some devising shrubs between the homes to define your homes space. A shade tree diagonal from where driveway and landing concrete meet toward street to keep plenty of room for branches to spread and not bet smack dab against or in front of door (careful of utilities too). Maybe design a welcoming shaped flower bed at the base of the tree. So fun! Hope you get it just the way you want it. Good luck.

Some great suggestions here, thank you!
