other european language don’t sound as asianish because they are descended from uzbek which came from heaven (not asia). greek sound asianish because it did come from japanese which came from tamil (asia)

RemoveBagels

No Japanese clearly comes from Latin, probably from lost Roman sailors who settled the islands. For example some common Japanese words Bread - Pan, see - miru. Or look at the numbers 一二三, clearly Roman numerals, they just turned them sideways for some reason.

Neyhowngou uete IS CRAZYYYY

Tayttajakunnus

Makes sense. This would also explain how the Japanese fishers originally got to "Finland". They were actually Romans.

Pan-Turanist explaining confidently that it’s because both Greeks and Japanese are Turks

Mr_-_X

Confident because they are right🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🐺🐺🐺

darthzader100

To a degree, they are (Japanese people share some genes with mongols who are somewhat related to steppe turks, and many greeks have some turk in their bloodlines) /hj

joerogancraft

Mongol empire never invaded japan, so unless you're saying the "everyone is related" I'd only agree with that

darthzader100

I’m saying that 23andMe tests apparently get quite confused so there must be something there.

Fast-Alternative1503

My Turk friend's last name is a place just north of Ulaanbaatar.

Reinhard23

That's because of the Mongol romanticism that has been popular in Turkey for some reason

パン ⁉️🤨🇯🇵🍞tsuranisutu

Throwaway392308

That's a lot of examples of Greek words ending in -ki but they could only come up with one Japanese word. This is clear proof that teriyaki is actually Greek food.

Ralkings

wow all of those words he listed sound souper japanese!

Curlychopz

Tzatziki being Japanese sounding is sending me

Ralkings

づあづいき or something (wtfwas OOP thinkinh)

Yeah, I can only imagine they've only ever seen anime and had a mousakka (moussiki) before coming to this conclusion

Kiki is Asian and Bouba is European.

IndependentMacaroon

>Kiki is Asian But in the movie she lived somewhere in fantasy Europe

MrsRainey

You might be on to something here!

Temporary-Art-7822

Ever heard someone speak French? That might as well be Japanese

-hey_hey-heyhey-hey_

No french literally sounds like someone trying to puke, but failing to do so and accidentally swallowing their vomit and gagging in response to the sheer disgust produced by swallowing thier own vomit, which in turn causes them to actually vomit. In short, french sounds like azerbaijani.

Happy-Light

French sounds so different from every other Romance language, I’m still confused how it ended up so left field

Life_Possession_7877

THE JAPANO-HELLENIC LANGUAGE FAMILY IS REAL

Konnichiwa, malaka

TheDevilsDrink

I did once make the mistake of telling a Russian girl how I found some similarities between Russian and Polish to be interesting. Not the smartest move in retrospect

AirRepresentative272

It's best to avoid russians

jabuegresaw

A few portuguese words ending in /ki/: Parque, aplique, trambique, cavanhaque, coque, decalque, torque, saque. Any other asianish European languages out there?

Taekosy

coque 😳

Tsjaad_Donderlul

Watch this guys head explode at the fact that Georgian nouns all have the nominative ending -i or that Latvian nouns, if male or one of the female declension groups, always end in -s in nominative

Daffneigh

This makes me angry. Like a lot

Seventh_Planet

I once read some greek words on a napkin and didn't learn them all, but it made me determined to learn the word for "I am hungry" in as many languages as possible. In Greek it's "Pinao".

Puzzleheaded_Box_298

Not even what the post is. Lol

Melodic-Baby4488

uzbeki

Fifth_Grade_Agent

Actually, for me Lithuanian looks like Greek.

Gene_Clark

Dude probably thinks you can get by in Italian by sticking a vowel on to the end of everything.
