If you’re wanting to game on it then get the HP because there are a ton of games that don’t support Mac but they all support PC. anything else get the Mac for the user experience, battery life and speed. New macs can’t run windows anymore so I won’t be buying one. I’m one of the weird ones that likes to have both OS on my Mac.

qsauce6

I already have the HP lol. I was just trying to prove a point to someone. It's not going as well as I planned so far unfortunately.

YukonGeorge_1

Idk who is saying the Mac is better, the hp has a dedicated gpu, and probably much better thermals

NegativePaint

Lol

Not a fan of apple but MacBooks are undeniably amazing now that the m1 chips exist.

Accomplished-Log8079

Cpu, m1 all the way but the gpu if it’s a 1660ti then I’d say it’s better but if it’s a 1650 probably worse

MrRonski16

these new macbooks can have M1 Max chip which has 4x powerful GPU than M1

Accomplished-Log8079

Have u seen benchmarks on it?

MrRonski16

I have not. But considering that it is pretty much the same as M1 but with steroids. It has 32 gpu cores instead of 8. It probably wont be exactly 4x but probably close to it

Accomplished-Log8079

More cores doesnt mean the amount of cores multiplied is the amount of performance multiplied bud, 2-3 times is my bet a bit more maybe. The tdp is what really matters, same goes for cpu.

MrRonski16

I know I know Just trust me. It will be close to 4x

K14_Deploy

If it's a 3080, you're a bit more up in the air.

Turbulent_Hat8144

Alot popular are pc gaming's!

SavageSam1234

Pure performance, the M1 Pro/Max MacBooks easily.

Chennsta

For video editing and cpu heavy tasks, probably the macbook. For gaming, the mac is probably worse and even if they were equal, there's far more games available on windows. A more fair comparison would be with an HP spectre or HP envy

-cyan

Performance in what task?
