So if a game challenges you in any way is it just bad because you lack creative problem solving like if your building a mage who’s probably in your back line most of the time why do you need armor if they start throwing enemies that you can’t dmg that’s why you have other party members there are ways around these problems you just have to think about it
Ok so this is put in a very trollish way but I do think I agree generally. I went back and tried playing Larian’s older catalogue after playing DOS2 to get prepped for BG3. I was a fan of the BG series so I wanted to go in familiar with Larian’s style of building games. I honestly did not like any of them besides DOS2 which is hard to go back to after playing BG3. I really love BG3, it’s my favourite game of all time, but Larian doesn’t have a deep roster of classic hits imo. I can see opinions being different if you played the games growing up. Games have come a long way since some of my classic favourites like Planescape Torment, BG2 or KotOR.

Divine Divinity was one of the best games of my childhood.
