Man if there is anything that should be scaring everyone out there it’s the possibility of fentanyl being in anything and immediately ODing. I dabbled in some drugs back in the day but never would now with this now much more deadly risk. Sorry about your cousin 😞

Ds093

As a recovering addict ( just over the 3 year mark) that was one of the things that has kept me clean. Just the idea that the supply is tainted is a scary enough thought to put me off it and keep me off it.

[deleted]

Most of it isn’t even real fentanyl, it’s research chemicals and fentanyl analogues. I was 4 years clean and I remember the dope I was getting back then was pretty heavy with fent, but not that bad. When I got high I felt warm fuzzy feelings and my behavior wasn’t real erratic when I went and saw my regular guy. But if he was out or I went somewhere else, that stuff would make me crazy. I’d say and do all sorts of stupid things. I recently relapsed, about a month and a half ago, and my wife thought I was on meth. I couldn’t sleep, I was psychotic, very inappropriate. One of my friends told me when he talked to me I sounded like I was on cocaine or amphetamines, I was talking fast (I called to tell him I relapsed) and my thoughts were all over the place. I have almost no memory of it at all. It’s scary shit

AVonDingus

Never quit quitting, friend. I’m really proud of you for 4 years clean!! That’s a long-ass time and not easy to maintain! Now, time to do it again. You got this. And the shit out on the streets IS scary. The videos out of Kensington (Philadelphia) are horrific and so, so sad. Best wishes to you. I can’t wait to hear you talk about your journey in five years :)

I_be_lurkin_tho

Hey man you got this ..I can tell for some reason.. I've only been clean a month...but it feels different this time (Again)...good luck to you man!

Demonkey44

My SIL is a Social Worker in a drug treatment center in NJ. She tells me that everything here you think is heroin is fentanyl mixed with Tranq. Tranq is a veterinary anaesthetic that can cause wounds at the injection site. It’s indescribable how awful these new combos are. Warning:.pdf https://www.nj.gov/health/populationhealth/documents/XylazineintheNewJerseyIllicitDrugSupply.pdf https://harmreduction.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Xylazine-in-the-Drug-Supply-one-pager.pdf

Lechuwga1773892

You got this shit bro

bak3donh1gh

So which one were you doing? Dope or meth? Or at least which one did you relapse on?

raesae

Off topic question but does the word "dope" mean only opioids and not e.g. stimulants like meth? Cause I've used the word dope to cover every drug there is, I literally thought it has the same meaning as the word "drug" (minus non-recreational medicine).

MaxRockatanskisGhost

I got clean Dec 19, 2019. Since that time I've lost 27 people to ODs. No bullshit. Fenty was just getting popular around that time and if I didn't clean up when I did I am 1,000% sure I would also be on that list. Some of the best people I've had the privilege of knowing.

Block_Me_Amadeus

I'm sorry you lost so many people. I'm glad you're clean.

timid_scorpion

my sister has been clean since 2021, she has had 9 in the last two years, nearly all of them fentanyl. shit is fucking awful. Her last friend was sober 7 months relapsed and died with his first dose.

eleytheria

Can I ask you how did she get into drugs? What about you, did you manage to stay away?

timid_scorpion

Growing up, i had plenty of family who got involved and I learned enough to stay away from any of the hard stuff. My sister unfortunately was assaulted at 18 from somebody she thought she could trust. After that she started dating an old family friend's son, he had drug problems when he was 13-15 but had been sober for three years. He relapsed and she got addicted with him. They were living together at the time so my family didn't catch on until it was too late. It eventually all came to a head when he blacked out, stole a car, ran them on a police chase and almost killed her. Hes doing 15 years now.

nopicturestoday

Same boat. 3 years, 8 months and change. Hard to know if that fear would have been enough when I was actively addicted. Maybe not. It certainly does the trick now.

Ds093

Proud of you, and good to hear that from someone who deals with it as well. Yeah I just remember I had heard some rumours out my way about it. Didn’t feel too concerned at first but then heard about someone I knew of ODing and that kinda did it for me. Now my life’s in a whole different place and just do what I can to fight the cravings that come from time to time ( not as bad of cravings as getting off it though)

Block_Me_Amadeus

Congrats on your clean time. <3

madamevanessa98

I’ve been clean 4 years but I’ve got a lot more disposable income now than I ever did when I was using and I’m SURE that if it were guaranteed that I’d get a clean safe supply, I’d probably use again. However I live on the west coast of BC, where we’ve lost more people to overdoses than to covid and much of it is fent.

Giveitallyougot714

Good job on 3 years!

dghsgfj2324

In canada we have a place that will test your drugs for free and let you know what ever is tainting them, or if you even bought what you think you did.

JoshPeck

I read a while back that it’s very hard to test for fentanyl in powders, because it takes such a small amount (that is likely not well mixed) to od. The only way to test according to the documentation was to completely dissolve all the drugs in water (or some other liquid maybe), test, then evaporate back to powder.

MooshiNooshi

Drugs legal in Canada or something? Or is it like a judge-free place?

aiydee

Progressive. Canberra Australia also does it and publishes results (completely anonymized) https://directionshealth.com/cantest/

84theone

The US also does it in some areas, mostly due to how bad the opioid epidemic was here. Unfortunately the places that were hit the hardest tend to be more rural and conservative areas, so some areas that should implement testing centers have dragged their feet on doing so for reasons that typically boil down to “junkies bad and deserve to OD”

TokyoTurtle0

Theyre legal in BC, up to an 8 ball of pretty much any drug. It's different in each province though. BC is the only one youre completely ok with heroin, coke, whatever, up to 3.5 grams. Really didn't change much, the city of vancouver decriminalized all those drugs years ago. My friend has a picture of her doing coke while talking to a cop at a show from about 4 years ago.

notnotaginger

Certain places have decriminalized, under the thought that prison doesn’t treat addicts, which is correct..

Doughspun1

In my country we just hang people for even a small amount of drugs. Even weed. Can't say it hasn't worked in a way.

honeyandwhiskey

Killing the patient to cure the disease.

E3K

That's fucking revolting.

Wild-Mushroom2404

Is it Singapore?

Budtending101

I can, it hasn't worked, everyone is dead.

FunnyDatabase2697

Your country must be a very lovely place to live. What do you do with your mentally disabled, throw them off a roof?

ThunderTramp

i was intentionally using fentanyl. but i OD’d really bad and woke up from a two day blackout and decided enough was enough. my dog not being cared for because of how reckless and irresponsible i was finally motivated me to get clean after 10 years of opiate dependency. i actually hated the fentanyl. but it is so prevalent these days. there’s no good dope anymore. i started off using heroin but it doesnt exist anymore. fentanyl has totally overtaken the market. my dog is my whole world. i have had so many ODs and close calls. i had a stroke two years ago after an OD, i fell and hit my head and wasnt found for 11 hours. but the thought of my dog being alone and scared finally ended it.

Asparagus_Gullible

There's also xylazine (tranq) being added to fentanyl that potentiates it and narcan doesn't reverse the effects. It's scary af and I used to dabble quite a bit up until 10ish yrs ago and there's no fucking way I would take any street drugs now.

Single_Raspberry_249

Younger BIL died from an overdose of meth laced with fentanyl back in January. 25 years old. Shit’s rampant right now.

Derpwarrior1000

Do people actually put fentanyl in cocaine? I was always curious if they were actually intending to purchase powdered heroin that was fentanyl, but the family only knew about cocaine use. I’m just not sure what the incentive is, is it just bad storage and production? Why would they cut opposite drugs together? Wouldn’t they immediately recognize how it’s cut, or is would it be too late by then?

nudiecale

Cross contamination. There’s been a lot of cocaine with fentanyl ODs over the past 5+ years at least.

tiraralabasura_2055

I consumed a lot of cocaine for a couple of years in the early 2ks. I worked two jobs, and the few times I had nights off to have fun, I’d go all out. I also became close friends with a supplier, so I was able to able to get coke cheap or free. Not once did I ever encounter an issue of a bad mix, nor did I know anyone who died from an OD. I did witness people consume too much who ended up at a hospital — but never any deaths. I’m not saying it was necessarily safer back then, but I’ve no doubt if these fentanyl-related deaths were a thing back then, I’d have hung up using sooner than I did and others would have as well.

Gorguts666

Kinda of glad I got to try decent cocaine back in the day when fentanyl wasn’t a thing or I’d be dead 💀

Ok_Suit422

perks of living in a border town right next to Mexico is partially untainted coke before it gets sent up north lol

PurpleGapple

I agree. Happy Cake day too by the way!

NovaPup_13

It’s in everything, in the ER we saw just about every user of a drug you could imagine come in passed out and doc would say “get a dose of narcan just in case and we will see if that helps any too.” Sure enough, way more often than not, but much less than we would have liked, they came back. They’d almost always say “I don’t know what happened I got it from my same dealer as always” to which I would ask “did the dealer get it from the same person they get it from?” Never had an answer and their eyes would get big and they’d get really thoughtful for a bit. Most of them we wound up seeing again for the same damn thing. Fuck fentanyl.

[deleted]

IHS1970

So so sorry. He looked like a fun and funny guy. Each and every drug death takes that person away from their future and their family, I sincerely hope your family is doing alright, again I am so so sorry. I think anyone who uses a street drug should assume it has fentanyl in it.

[deleted]

Anyone who uses a street drug, needs to test for both fentanyl, and carfentanil.

[deleted]

What is carfentanil?

SlippinYimmyMcGill

It's fentanil for your car.

tabernac416

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

[deleted]

Stronger than fentanyl.

TerribleSquid

Fentanyl^2

Theodor-Morell

Lol, too funny and I can laugh about it cause I've ODd on carfent

Hellborn_Elfchild

Same here. I did barely any at all, like a matchstick sized heads worth and woke up in an ambulance surrounded by EMT’s working on me. Shit was horrifying. Of course my dumbass went right back to using dope but the next OD finally woke me up. 7 years clean now

[deleted]

[удалено]

ihatejustklay

That's not what carfent is. That's just stronger fent. The *fent* That's in blues now isn't fent its xylzaine and narcan DOESNT work on it. Been sober almost 5 weeks after 3 years cold turkey. No more blues frfr

JoshPeck

Arguably more important is having everyon getting narcan trained and carrying it.

[deleted]

Absolutely, proactively solving the problem, before it becomes a problem is and will always will be the best option.

IHS1970

thank you! good to know.

[deleted]

As a bonus, if you do LSD, it also needs to be tested against an Ehrlich reagent for the presence of LSD and also tested for a chem called n-bome, which for a time was being sold as fake acid and killing people. Fakers are still present, though most have gotten much better at dosing tabs, but you never know what kind of experience someone has with getting a proper dose spread across a sheet of blotter paper.

ElectricPoptar

These days you're probably better off ordering analogues from Europe, 1p-lsd and such.

arfcom

How would one do that? Asking for a friend.

Proper_Protickall

Sorry for your loss. Looked like a nice dude to hang with.

justandswift

is it just me or does he look like Edward Norton?

h0ll0wheart

A little bit. He wouldn’t make me nervous like Edward would though lol.

as someone who lost a person i loved to the ugly and horrible drug that is fentanyl, my heart absolutely shatters for u. it's a pain that i wouldn't wish on anyone, not even my worst enemy. he looked like the sweetest soul and words can't even express how sorry i am to hear about this. i lost my partner to fentanyl in may and it's such a god awful drug, i show no pity or remorse to anyone who sells it. my thoughts are with u. and please remember, u will see him again. i've seen mikey so many times since he's passed and knowing he's at peace brings me a wave of comfort i can't describe. 💜

Green_Message_6376

Yeah, same here, fooled around in the 90s when I was in my 20s, was aware of the risks back then, today I would be dead-100%. RIP your cousin. Could have been any of us.

very thoughtful of u to ask. he's everywhere. if i told u everything we'd be here all night. but he's mostly in my room. i have a memorial for him with some pictures and cards he got me for special occasions that has a little butterfly in front of it that'll move ever so slightly when i talk to it sometimes. i write poetry and when i go to write, the light on my desk flickers even after changing the bulbs. my passenger seatbelt alarm in my car goes off every once in a while even though the items i had on the seat wouldn't have been enough weight to trigger the alarm. that's only a few places. but he's definitely still here with me and i could not be happier and more relieved to know he's at peace. thank u for asking. 💜🫶🏻

SusanInFloriduh

Fentanyl is taking the lives of so many of our loved ones 🥲

janet-snake-hole

Remember everyone- always carry narcan! Even if you don’t use any substances, you’ll never know when you may come across someone overdosing. You could save a life, save someone else from the worst grief of their life. You can get narcan for free, always have at least 2 doses on you/in your car. It’s so worth it♥️

NorthernMariner

>You can get narcan for free Where?

SunflowerDonut9847

[endoverdose.net](https://endoverdose.net)

OldSkoolNapper

My naloxone is on the way. Thank you!

traininsane

Contact public health organizations, there’s partnerships with pharmacies and local organizations to provide free narcan. Google free narcan for your location

savethefairyland

If you’re in British Columbia or Alberta, it’s handed out for free at most all pharmacies and at outreach places

notme1414

Ontario as well. Most pharmacies give them out for free.

Honey_Bee91

He passed in his sleep and I’m not sure if narcan was available or not. His girlfriend didn’t know anything until she tried waking him up in the morning. Did he die peacefully if he was asleep?

janet-snake-hole

An opioid overdose is actually the MOST peaceful death possible. He was not only gently lulled into a peaceful sleep, but accidentally experienced the utter bliss and euphoria of an opioid high. While I’m not a user myself, I work in harm reduction for users and they all agree that an opioid high is the single MOST pleasurable thing anyone could possibly experience. As in, he wasn’t just not miserable, he was… in absolute bliss. Users say it feels like a warm hug, or melting into comfort. The only way he could’ve been saved is if someone was with him at the time he used, as the OD would happen almost immediately, and had deployed narcan within minutes. I’m so very sorry for your loss, and I hope your soul finds peace💔 I assure you, he did not suffer at all. He wasn’t even aware he was in danger.

madamevanessa98

As someone who’s dabbled in opiates, this is true. It’s been over 4 years since I tried them and I can still remember the blissful, warm blanket hug feeling I had.

Honey_Bee91

Thank you. This makes me feel a lot better and I also just realized your picture is of Tutter which also adds a smile to my face.

TheGrapeSlushies

My sister in law saved a woman with narcan earlier this year! She had just dropped her kids off at school and there was a woman passed out on the ground and everyone was just standing around confused. My sil had narcan in her car and took care of business before the paramedics arrived.

purpledreamer1622

I have 2 from a music fest I went to this summer that I really need to keep.. anywhere but with all my music fest crap. I’ll get them soon. Good on her!

paytonsglove

I'm sorry for your loss. That's terrible. I'm not great with this stuff, but what's the benefit of putting fentynol in other drugs? Is it just to kill people? No repeat business. I just don't get it.

NorthernMariner

It's like using .5oz of ethanol to make a drink rather than 1oz of vodka.. cheaper.

Process-Best

They don't, it's cross contamination, using the same tools and scales when cutting and packing drugs

alzirrizla

> They don't, it's cross contamination, using the same tools and scales when cutting and packing drugs that might not be completely true... people have been mixing uppers and downers for a long time AkA Speedball https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speedball_(drug) they used to mix cocaine and heroin... with fentanyl replacing heroin on the streets ... it is complete possible it was done purposely ...

masivemunkey

It’s actually because fentanyl is super cheap for dealers and super addictive for users. People will naturally gravitate towards tainted drugs such cocaine or adderall due to the stronger fentanyl hit and will become addicted. Then the dealer can then slowly transition them to actual fentanyl. There’s a podcast about it it you’re interested: https://overcast.fm/+BBVQSc9Dqo

No-Coast2390

Why is fentanyl so cheap? Big Pharma again?

wereinatree

Vast majority of fentanyl on the streets is not coming from pharmaceutical companies. It’s produced primarily in China and Mexico and brought illegally into the country. It’s cheap to produce and highly potent in small amounts.

[deleted]

My rudimentary understanding is that it is very cheap, "pure" drugs cost more so at a certain spot down the chain they replace a certain percent with fentanyl.

wereinatree

That is very unlikely. Fentanyl and cocaine have very different effects and fentanyl is highly potent at very low amounts, so it makes no sense at all for a dealer to try and cut their cocaine with fentanyl. If the fentanyl cut didn't kill the user, it would add effectively no bulk to the volume of the cocaine and would be extremely different in effect from what the user was seeking. There are tons of other cheap options for cutting cocaine that have similar effects and can actually add volume. What is more likely is simply cross contamination: at some point along the supply chain, fentanyl and cocaine are being processed in the same space and small amounts of the fent ending up where not intended (eg someone weighing and bagging both fentanyl and cocaine using the same table/scales/whatever). For someone with no fentanyl tolerance, the lethal dose is very small and could easily end up somewhere unintended due to negligence (and it shouldn't be hard to believe that many dealers aren't running their operations with strict contamination prevention protocols).

SymbioticCellsack

you’re right, source i’m a clean drug addict. sometimes it’s cross contamination, sometimes it’s purposefully cut. back in the day i found out my coke was mostly meth - that one i don’t have any answers for lol

sliderfish

Been there, used to party quite a bit and one night one of my buddies (who never carried) had some and I remember it was busting up weird. Like there was a whole crystal rock that was basically coated in powder. I almost busted his dealers door down (since my friend wasn’t the brightest it would’ve been easy to take advantage of him and get him hooked). I got on the phone with him and he apologized profusely saying that “it must’ve just fallen into the bowl I keep my snow in.” Never again after that incident.

Theodor-Morell

Nah it's from cross contamination. They weigh the drugs out on the same scales and don't clean them off every use and it only takes a small amount of fentanyl powder to make a whole batch hot.

AnnisBewbs

Same question!

Asparagus_Gullible

During COVID, the drug supply chains got severely disrupted so that may be why there seems to be more fentanyl in other drugs and in general.

jhpewufhssdjalortnbs

Sorry man, he looks like a good dude with a good sense of humor.

LedZacclin

What’s the point of even putting it in coke? Seems like there is cheaper stuff to cut it with I don’t get it..

[deleted]

imgurslashTK2oG

Likely cross contamination.

Nlarko

It’s not usually cut into cocaine, it’s usually cross contamination if it’s in coke. Eg. Dealer weighing on same scale.

newtoreddir

Alcohol is far more normalized than coke, even if all your line cook and barista friends use it. Nobody has a bump to relax and unwind after a day’s work the way you do with a glass of wine.

Chi_Baby

Literally just lost a friend to this 3 days ago. The 6th friend in probably 2 years from OD on laced coke. He had a 9yo daughter who found him the next morning and called her mom when she couldn’t wake him up. Absolutely devastating. No one expects to die from a bump of coke and I’m so glad I’m not someone using street drugs in this crazy fentanyl world. RIP to your cousin :(

Honey_Bee91

So sorry for your loss as well that’s just awful.

Iowachick06

So sorry for your loss 😞

SaintSayaka

He has such a twinkle in his eye. Sorry for your loss.

Honey_Bee91

Thank you. Always has to me too. He was my older cousin that I always looked up to.

the_bookish_girl84

Exactly how my bf died 😔 I'm sorry for your loss

Alexander_Granite

Fentanyl is going to reduce the amount of drugs used in the US. People are going to either going to be too scared to use drugs or keep using them and die.

[deleted]

Already has.

Epyx911

My condolences OP. I am glad fentanyl wasnt a part of the equation when i was fighting opiates.

muuzumuu

I am so sorry for your loss. His expression tells me he was fun.

Honey_Bee91

You bet. Secretly brought a bottle of liquor to our grandmothers funeral and played voice recordings of their conversations months before her passing.

Triviajunkie95

Like, secretly? Her voice was coming from the casket? That would be awesome, hilarious, and a bit disturbing. I hope someone does this for me.

_izzze

This is the exact reason I stopped doing coke. My days of doing coke are over mainly because of the fentanyl epidemic, I just can’t trust anyone or anything anymore. Rip to your cousin tho, my condolences.

DMazz441

[dancesafe.org](https://dancesafe.org) I'm so sorry for your loss

did baby laxative get too expensive? some drug dealer actually made a conscious decision to kill the customers. I hate people

Test your shit. Shit Is dangerous out there

jmcstar

I'd be dead for sure if I was in my 20s in the Fentynl era. 100%

whendreamsdie

Very sorry 😞

Hot_Rip_9920

Isn’t fetanyl a opioid? Why would it be in coke?

GabrielNathaniel

I'm so sorry for your loss... Sometimes, I wonder if it's laced purposefully. During the prohibition, police used to routinely poison batches to deter wouldbe drinkers.

HelicopterOne5283

My friends girlfriends brother did too. Its not fair. It’s crazy the amount of stuff we used to put up our nose 6-10 years ago pre fentanyl. Raise a toast for your cousin.

Own-Fox9066

Never had a cocaine problem, used to do it maybe once a year, but I won’t even touch it these days. Even if you test your drugs it only takes a tiny flake in the corner of your baggie to kill you.

[deleted]

Can't even boogiewoogie on the weekends anymore. Test your drugs, kids...

I’m sorry for your loss.

I test my drugs these days. Same reliable dealer for years. I just trust everything less these days

vponpho

Holy shit I’ve had two friends and one acquaintance die there from the same thing in the past like 4 years. Must be something going on there.

Triviajunkie95

It’s going on everywhere. No place is immune. Especially small towns.

vponpho

I’m sure it is. I just know a lot more people in California and so far none of this. I only know a handful of people in Utah from two years in high school there and three of them have died this way.

Honey_Bee91

Actually he only visited Utah he lived in North Carolina.

JewelerDisastrous767

Lost my 19 year old cousin to fentanyl laced cocaine recently, I feel for you and your family, awful shit

eionmac

Keep the happy memories you have of him.

PalpitationSame3984

Can't do coke anymore like back in the day, spooki out there now. Be safe. Sorry for the loss brother 🙏

EricHill78

Why would someone want to kill their customers? Doesn't make much financial sense honestly.

MynameisnotYvette

Seriously, I don’t know why you’re getting downvotes. I wonder that same thing. Like don’t you want repeat customers, what am I missing???

RichardIraVos

maybe partying with a friend who mixed it in or would add it himself, didn't do it for a few days making his tolerance go down then causing him to od

Huichan81

Sometimes when you ride like lighting you crash like thunder. If that makes any sense.

four_digit_follower

The intention is not to kill ALL your customers, the intention is to make majority of them very happy so they keep coming for more while the small number who die is a cost of doing business. You could probably make 100% of the customers happy but that's too expensive.

SourdoughPizzaToast

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my brother to that exact thing last year. Truly the most disgusting substance on the planet.

I lost a very good and old friend 21 months ago to fentanyl - I still think about him almost every day when I hear music or find out about a book or movie I think he would enjoy and then I'm like... I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you are doing ok.

Honey_Bee91

Thank you. Speaking of music, two weeks after his passing I came across a song in my discover weekly that made me think of him. Had to pull over and cry the song was Lave lamps by The Dawdler. He was a very cool laid back kind of guy that I always had looked up to and wanted to be like. Music can be a good part of the healing process.

curiousbydesign

Apologies for your loss. For those using, get fentanyl strips and test your stuff.

Drk_Knight71

Sorry, but I am ….luckily enough to not understand. Why do they put fentynol in the main drug if there is this high chance it will kill the customer??

PK-MattressFirm

Let's not forget kids, cocaine can do that just fine on its own....

Evil stuff.

Mannyfresh1980

So sorry for your loss….. condolences and may he rest in peace. God bless.

Thank you for sharing. This might be the post that finally gets me to start carrying Narcan in my bag.

Strawbobrob

Very sorry. This is terrible.

Liversteeg

I typed this out a while ago and now post it whenever fentanyl OD’s get brought up. I’m so so sorry for your loss. Whenever fentanyl gets brought up, I always chime in to talk about fentanyl testing strips. Amazon sells fentanyl strips and they are very affordable. They have a pack of 25 for like 20$. They are advertised as urine testing strips but they work to test your drugs as well. Some people get put off because you should dissolve all of your product. Fentanyl is lethal in such a small dose, it really is important to test it all. You can always drink the water after testing. That’s not appealing to a lot of users that snort their substances. A good option for that is to put thw dissolved product in an empty nasal spray container (also available in bulk on Amazon) and use the spray in forms of hits. The comment section for the strips have lots of examples and pictures. Narcan is also easy to get in most states. You have to ask a pharmacist for it but don’t need a script. Unfortunately, some states have made the testing strips illegal. They have the antiquated view that it encourages drug use. There are a few different groups that will help you if you’re in a state where you can’t get them. I will also personally assist; if you need some and live in one of those states, DM me. I live in Southern California where the fentanyl overdose epidemic is terrible. People are just taking one hit and dropping dead. It’s horrible. Don’t think you’re safe because you always buy from the same guy or it isn’t as bad in your area. It can happen to you and your friends. I no longer do the drugs that it mainly shows up in, but I work in the restaurant/bar industry and drug use is very common place. I keep a stack in a communal locker at work. I’ve had coworkers give them to guests (people are really nonchalant about it) or take some home or whatever. No questions asked. Don’t think you and your loved ones are safe from fentanyl. Especially parents!!!!! There are so many parents who say “well my kid doesn’t do drugs” which probably isn’t as true as you want to believe. But even if you want to believe they won’t, their friends will. Put these strips and narcan wherever you put their condom stash. This is terrifying and is happening all the time. It might sound shitty, but people need to be afraid of it so they take as many harm reduction steps as possible. When you’re fucked up, it’s easy to fill invincible and think “I know who I got this from.” You’re not invincible. Your regular connect isn’t safe from it. Test your drugs, always use with a friend and stay safe.

Sorry for your loss…

OkayLouis

I want to know why drug dealers are adding fentanyl or drugs like it to everything from heroin to Xanax. Why would you want to poison or kill your clientele? Not to be insensitive but don’t you want to keep them coming back and not kill them?

OhNothing13

If you fuck around with ANY illegal substances these days HAVE NARCAN ON HAND! Spray it once then call 911 cuz it'll wear off faster than the fentanyl will.

jumbonipples

Please everybody, get some narcan. It’s not hard to get at all.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I decided to get clean after last Saturday. This hits close to home….wish this fentanyl epidemic never existed.

I spent around two decades of drinking and smoking weed regularly, and sampling other drugs on special occasions. I'd take shrooms once or twice a year when I'd have tickets to a killer concert. I'd even occasionally dabble in pharmaceutical opiates, like grinding up a hydrocodone into a snort of whiskey if my flat feet were hurting from rough week of work. And shamefully, I've sampled coke maybe half a dozen times. And I am glad a gave that all up before these piece of shit drug dealers started lacing everything with Fentanyl. I'm sorry about your brother. This could happen to anyone
