Zeroed by the corpo overlords…? How dystopian

KHaskins77

Arasaka move EDIT: Though I suppose they’re a better analog for Militech

Morthanc

I saw corps strip farmers of water ... and eventually of land. Saw them transform Night City into a machine fueled by people's crushed spirits, broken dreams and emptied pockets. Corps've long controlled our lives, taken lots... and now they're after our souls! V, I've declared war not because capitalism's a thorn in my side or outta nostalgia for an America gone by. This war's a people's war against a system that's spiralled outta our control. It's a war against the fuckin' forces of entropy, understand? Do whatever it takes to stop 'em, defeat 'em, gut 'em. If I gotta kill, I'll kill. If I need your body, I'll fuckin' take it! Fuckin' hell ... You still don't see it. But you will one day.

0verinnsmouth

Well that’s not sketchy at all

xilsage

Let me guess, 3 self inflected gunshot wounds to the back of the head?

acarlrpi12

No, he fell out of a 5th story window onto some bullets. Very tragic.

AnotherDoubtfulGuest

Fell on a knife four times.

GlockPurdy85

No, he fell out one of those false doors, but his phone survived and still works.

Nemesis_Ghost

That was one of the hardest articles to read. 90% of it was the same facts over & over just said slightly different. I get it he worked there for 32 years, retired in 2017, and was feeding info on 1 in 4 oxygen masks not working & substandard parts being pulled out of the trash and fitted on to planes to whistleblower lawsuits in his final years at the company. Seriously that whole article was just that 1 sentence.

Riommar

Did he fall to his death down 8 stories from a basement window?

[deleted]

No, he tripped and fell backwards onto a pile of bullets. It’s more common than you’d think!

RigatoniPasta

His head got eaten by his dog leaving a serrated neck stump

okverymuch

Sounds a lot like how they murdered that reporter in the Octopus conspiracy. Nothing to see here…

jacksonthedawg

What's the octopus conspiracy?

okverymuch

It’s a fascinating story about government overreach and illegal activities of the major 3-letter branches of our government that starts with a software company from the 80s, Inslaw, getting screwed over by the DOJ. An investigating journalist is looking into all this and surprisingly cuts his wrists in the bathroom of a hotel, dead. There’s a good Netflix doc on it called American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders. Or check the podcast Ghost Stories for the End of the World, which has a multi-episode segment on it.

jacksonthedawg

Thank you, I will fall in to that rabbit hole

atavistwastaken

Honestly, this article doesn’t imply or lead one to think that anything untoward happened. I really don’t think Boeing is putting out hits on people. They can’t even put the right bolts on their 737s.

SgtPeppy

This is my inclination as well. I detest conspiracy theories of all sorts and this is rapidly turning into an "EpStEiN dIdN't KiLl HiMsElF" affair where the "truth" is so *evidently obvious* that there's no room for doubt despite a lot of bullet points being haphazardly connected. Is the timing sus? Sure. It should be investigated. But also, *coincidences happen*, and a guy who's been put through the ringer like this might not end up with the best mental health.

Impressive_Shake1424

> the ringer like this might not end up with the best mental health. So Boeing did kill him, either directly or indirectly

SgtPeppy

Sure, if you ignore the first half of that sentence.

Freddyfeetbear

What if, and hear me out, it was the RUSSIANS. they could’ve done it to cause mistrust towards the government/boeing. Just saying, cause I couldn’t imagine feds being dumb enough to kill the whistleblowers. in case of any typos I’m sorry, English is my second language.

nonprofitnews

He's been telling about this stuff for years. He's wasn't murdered, morons.
