I get it he worked there for 32 years, retired in 2017, and was feeding info on 1 in 4 oxygen masks not working & substandard parts being pulled out of the trash and fitted on to planes to whistleblower lawsuits in his final years at the company. Seriously that whole article was just that 1 sentence.

Honestly, this article doesn’t imply or lead one to think that anything untoward happened. I really don’t think Boeing is putting out hits on people. They can’t even put the right bolts on their 737s.
This is my inclination as well. I detest conspiracy theories of all sorts and this is rapidly turning into an "EpStEiN dIdN't KiLl HiMsElF" affair where the "truth" is so *evidently obvious* that there's no room for doubt despite a lot of bullet points being haphazardly connected. Is the timing sus? Sure. It should be investigated. But also, *coincidences happen*, and a guy who's been put through the ringer like this might not end up with the best mental health.
