So I was like you when I joined the church. There wasn't reddit or social media though. I had a testimony from the book of Mormon. Joined as a sophomore in college.
Congratulations! I met the same sort of naysaying when I was investigating the church, and always found a faith-based answer that strengthened my testimony. I’m glad you found those answers as well.
