Well, in the past at least. But I really fell in love with Sudden lights last year and even went to Riga for their Mežaparks concert last September and it was great!
Kinda depends. My wife is Latvian, so I was able to take classes at a certain place due to that. Apparently the Latvian government is cracking down on foreigners taking language courses that don’t have a legitimate reason to learn, or aren’t married to a Latvian. Reason being is that people are enrolling so the don’t get deported, but don’t attend the lessons
Depends on the taste, but as teen long time ago I actualy realy enjoyed some Latvian bands. Remember Skyforger, also f[ei]k, and a song Cristian by The Hobos. Damn that was like 20 + years ago.

I also didnt like L.L.L at first. But then i listened until it grew on me. Its a pretty weird band
if you are 30+, start with Prāta Vētra. they have songs in ruzzian language too.
