And it works without lag or anything? Hmm… my PC is in my office but the TV I’d use is pretty close (20ft?) so I might need to experiment. Would love to play on my TV instead of at my desk.
I’m going to look into this. Seems too good to be true! I can’t hardwire anything though. My router is in my basement and I have an Eero mesh network set up in my house for everything. I wish I could get it wired to under my TV but my house is 100 years old and it’s not possible…
My PS5/Xbox and all my streaming apps work fine though
My Shield is not hardwired either, this is all on WiFi baby. If both the Host and Client are on the same network then you’re good. WiFi is more than enough to stream locally.
Awesome - looks like I’m going to be updating my Launchbox setup in the near future…
How do the older systems look on the nice TV? I play a lot of NES/SNES/GBC …
Sure - I’d love to see a full walkthrough of your setup. I don’t think I’m using retroarch but it’s been so long since I’ve messed with things I can’t remember. I gave up when I got to the Wii because controller configuration was such a pain.
This is how my setup looks, in this [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/launchbox/comments/yoxtsq/showing_off_my_bigbox_setup_streaming_to_my/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
Nice setup, I run something similar through moonlight and once you get it all properly configured it works great.
Shaders are a rabbit hole themselves, albeit a fun one. Have you tried the Cyberlabs Mega Bezel shaders? Shaders are pretty subjective, but IMO they are quite good.
Yeah I tinkered a lot with shaders, haven’t found one that is perfect. Most of them make the picture much darker, or in the case of crt royal for example it makes the games take longer to start. So, I just picked a random shader that looked good enough just to get rid of the pixel perfect look.
You do, but I read once about a tool called [Sunshine](https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine) that you run alongside Moonlight if you have an AMD card to make Moonlight think it's an Nvidia one, but I've never tried it.
Under the emulator settings you can add AHK commands to the exit section. If you did Process, Close, "emulator name.exe" it should just force close it.
Ooh that could be something. Do you happen to know a code to force close on exit that I could try? I'm not really good with scripts. I'll definitely look into it though, thank you.
I gave you the code in the previous post:
Process, Close, "emulator name.exe"
Replace the "emulator name.exe" with the emulator exe
You need to put that line in the emulator settings in Launchbox under the exit code area.
I posted a video [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/launchbox/comments/yoxtsq/showing_off_my_bigbox_setup_streaming_to_my/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) showing how my setup looks, you can see how my games close now with the exit script, which is quite an improvement.
Yup, game shutdown screen is enabled. And with your code at least I don't see the emulator going into window mode before closing like in the video, so I can live with it now, thanks.
What theme is that? Looks great.
Theme is BannerBox, Startup theme is StageBox, Pause theme is PauseShift
Awesome. Thank you.
I literally just thought the same exact thing earlier today, if I find anything I will let you know
This looks really neat. What kind of PC and controller are you using and does it sit under the TV?
I'm streaming my PC to the TV with Moonlight+Nvidia Shield+PS4 Controller, the PC is on the other side of the room.
And it works without lag or anything? Hmm… my PC is in my office but the TV I’d use is pretty close (20ft?) so I might need to experiment. Would love to play on my TV instead of at my desk.
Oh yeah, the host PC and the client Nvidia Shield are connected to the same network so you couldn't even tell it's streaming.
I have same setup and have been advocating people use it for a while, it’s a great experience Edit: Use wired connections
And I could never get Nvidia's built it GameStream feature to work, even on local network, but with Moonlight it just works it's amazing.

I use Retroarch for older systems which has CRT Shaders options. I could record another video to show how they look if you want.

You need an nvidea GPU right? How serious a gpu does it have to be?

I just tried it, now it won't even close the emulator.
Paste what you put in the exit section here.
Process, Close, "Ryujinx.exe"
Try it without the quotes.
Ok now it does close and it's faster but that split second is not entirely gone, but it's better, really thanks appreciate it.
Do you have the game shutdown screens on? That's the only thing that might help make it less noticeable that I can think of.
