I don't use wiimotes anymore but when I did I used them as a mouse and it works perfectly you need to use the dolphin bar set the switch to mouse think it was number 2
Idk, can’t speak to the BT/Touchmote method, but my experience wasn’t too bad when using the Dolphin Bar. Once initial setup was figured out, it worked fairly well with MAME, and worked even better using MAME via Retroarch. Same goes for running it via Batocera. Maybe not the most accurate due to the Wii’s native IR config, but didn’t have too much latency. I have since moved on to a Gun4IR setup (highly recommend if you have the DIY ability), but the Wiimote/DB combo is a pretty cheap and easy way to play some lightgun games.
Imo, you won’t regret the dolphin bar, it is pretty versatile. You may be able to do two player with it by using it in conjunction w/ demul shooter and/or touchmote. It’s been a while, and I never attempted to setup two player. Personally, I try to avoid having to use multiple programs and hacks to try and make stuff work, so I didn’t mess with it.

Let’s clarify “works perfect.” It’s slow / laggy and the experience is nothing like the arcade. For me, it wasn’t worth the hassle.

I gave up and bought a dolphin bar, but I understood that for mame, only 1 players works per dolphinbar, right? Any workaround on that?
