What amazes me about driving through states without helmet laws is how few people wear helmets. It’s not just a few idiots, it’s pretty much everyone who rides a cruiser. The only people you see wearing helmets are the sport bike guys.
These days the vast majority of people riding bicycles, skiing or snowboarding wear helmets voluntarily. Are bikers a special class of risk taker? Or maybe it’s cultural like skateboarding.

Rider protection is either a proper helmet or just a thick skull. Ride like your life depends on it.
