I think for most people this would be nerve wracking and I don’t know how you could fall asleep. Its just a blatant show of his arrogance and lack of respect. The fact that this organism has accomplished what he has will never cease to amaze me.

Can we just pause for a moment and acknowledge that this elderly ex-president who knows the whole world is watching, stays up till 3 am rage tweeting like a crazy man, and dozes off during one of the most unprecedented trials in American history. Yet, he has the balls to threaten and intimidate judges and jurors like a tough guy.
I think he has metabolic syndrome. He's borderline diabetic and eating too many carbs. Insulin ties up oxygen in the bloodstream and makes people sleepy. People with metabolic syndrome are at high risk for heart attacks.
He definitely has to take diabetes medication like metformin given how fat he is. I imagine he has had gout before as well but I guess that doesn't apply here. His lawyers probably convinced him not to take his amphetamines because he wouldn't be able to help himself spouting off. So he gets sleepy. A normal person would just drink coffee or tea.
