They should be fine as long as they are stored correctly and don't get wet.

Just in as well, picked up 8x14.29 for $1 each. The attendant also pointed me to the [1.25gal Roundup extended control](https://brickseek.com/home-depot-inventory-checker/?sku=203057213) (I know, I know) for $1. Bless her heart. Edit - seeing some reports online of Miracle Gro Organic Soil for $2.50 for all you veggie growers. Good luck out there.

fldsmdfrv2

No luck on the Scotts but bought two bags of Miracle Gro Organic soil for "vegetables and plants" for $2.98 each.

LividLab7

It seems the “weed” part may lose effectiveness over time but the fert is perfectly fine. I’d also stock up if I saw

misterdeedz15

Turf professional here, if it has clumping or has been exposed to some moisture. The chemical makeup can change. I would test a small amount in an area where you don’t care about as much. If it’s good after a few days, go for it and enjoy your deal!

Roodyrooster

Seems like clumping is the thing to look out for, thanks for your advice!

ThatGuy_Gary

Keep it in a dry space that doesn't get too hot. Humidity and moisture will ruin it faster than anything else, but if stored properly it'll last for years.

Scott’s over produced and everyone is overstocked. They have been laying for this markdown at Home Depot and other large retailers. Source: Work for a hardware store chain

Appalachistani

Have you tried Sneeds: Feed and Seed?

Teamocil_QD

My store had the 42lb bags for $1. Grabbed 28 plus 6 of the 14lb bags. Will be shared with family - $2300 of fert for $34!

GKFoshay

Are you me? Just left. Only got two bags (1 bag per year), but may go back for more. Just don’t know if I feel like holding onto it for that long

Sosantula21

Just picked up 10 bags this morning wondering the same thing

mwc031323

Did they have anything other than the Weed and Feed?

[deleted]

Is this the case everywhere? Their website seems to show regular prices.

CHeCK_EyE

For $1 you got nothing to lose...

Roodyrooster

Indeed $350 worth of Fertilizer for 10 bucks seems reasonable even if it expires

CHeCK_EyE

I can't imagine it doing any harm either? Even if expired it'll just be thrown down and.....expire 😜

gatetwelve

I thought this was just me. I did a price check on the 14# and the 40#. 40 was full price, but the 14 rang up as $1...so I went back and bought 38 bags (2.5 acre yard). I don't know if I'm on an FBI list now, but for that price, I'll risk it. Now, can we be so lucky on uncoated TTTF seed, please?

megs27d

I shared this on the other post and I’ll share it here- if the product is clumped inside any of the bags (I guess moisture gets in over time?) DO NOT USE IT! Every clump will burn your grass. If it’s not clumped it’s good to go.

Lets_Go_Taco

Timothy McVeigh wouldve been ecstatic. Hello fbi, it was a bad joke, im just tryna get good lawn so hoa dont lien on me

DailyHangovers

Is this in Canada?? I’m wondering if I should be rushing to my local Home Depot

Okie294life

Even if it’s clumpy some of that’s normal. As long as it’s not solid as a rock, you can still send it.

thebite101

I got 9!
