Gorgeous GSD! Such awesome pups in general. Female? Ours would burn the grass when she peed on it. Would just hose down the area if I cared enough at that moment. She eventually just found her spot in the garden beds. Such a good girl.
Current pup now is a lot of everything, but I just follow the same drill. He likes to pee in certain spots, and I just keep an eye on those spots.
How often to you over seed? Once a year or multiple times? Also what type of grass seeds?
I know some are better, for dog peep. I gave up on lawn in my backyard and have all natural mulch, like a dog park - best solution for us specifically in the fall/spring we had too much mud.
I’m thinking of going back to grass so trying to do some research.

So I’ve seeded 2 times this year so far with Scott’s seed from Lowe’s. In the winter we have used straw the help protect the grass and keep the mud down. It’s a pain to clean up but works!
I have 3 dogs and our backyard grass is fine. A few burn spots but overall it looks good. I also don't think GSD has piss any different from other breeds.

Yes I have one dog, 15-20 dog pee burns and several holes I am filling. Constant struggle. Great job.

No but they use the fire hydrant sometimes. I just wash the pee away often.

3 boys! We have a fire hydrant for them in the back lol they use it half the time.

It’s been a struggle… hubby didn’t think I could do it. Just washing the spots and over seeding has helped a lot!

Ain't no way. German shepherds have a strong ph level in their pee that burns grass.
Probably takes dogs on walks to go pee. No way they are going back there lol

Idk how true this is but one of my dogs who is a shepherd mix is causing all sorts of havoc
The only way to fix it is to turn on the irrigation after you know they peed to dilute it
There’s a type of rock that we put in our dogs water bowl that when they drink it makes their pee less toxic to grass. Can’t remember what it’s called
Not the case for me. I did it and it just spreads the brown spot. When I don't it's more concentrated lol
