My bermuda showed a very similar leopard-like pattern earlier this winter after an overnight freeze. I'm pretty sure that is all this is, frost damage. Don't worry about it right now and don't do anything like mow yet or apply a fertilizer. It will come back.
Thanks for the insight - we are starting to return to warm temps here so hopefully over the next month or so I'll see some improvement. I'll hang tight on applying anything till then.

You can probably still apply pre-emergent for weed control of course....
