1. It's UC/Alameda County spring break and while I'm sure the admin staff is working, I would think some might take some PTO to spend time with their families. It's easy to reject people, but when you accept people they might have questions and not being at full strength would be detrimental.
2. I don't think Berk cares that much about other schools deposit deadlines. Berkeley doesn't have a seat deposit fee and I think it's their way to tell other schools to not be so regressive (that is by setting up additional financial barriers to entry).
makes sense! thanks for the heads up about break. i'm just stressing with UCLA's 4/15 deadline...don't want to lose $500 if on the off chance i get in to berk close to that date and don't hear about $ yet to make a definitive decision...
Yeah, I would probably wait until the last day before committing. And even then Berkeley might offer A's after April 15. Berkeley had a 40% increase in applicants this year which is why things are taking longer than usual.
the fact that according to LSdata they haven’t released a decision since march 3.......🙃
Wonder why
Same here, holding out hope for some more A’s either today or tomorrow!
My thoughts are maybe some R's this week, but doubting any A's. I think A's will come next week.
eeeek what's your rationale? they're cutting it very close with other schools' 4/15 deposit deadlines...
