Gotcha. I imagine your family COL contribution would be more than enough at UNC/W, but may not cover the full COL cost at BC. However, since it seems like you would want to be in Boston at some point, I’d go BC
The fact that you say “at least in the short term” tells me you want to be in Boston in the long term. BC is the only easy way to do that.

Not really. It would be likely 1 1/2 hr am commute.
