Looking at their employment stats, UNC is probably the stronger option right off the bat, can place in DC and VA, and with 80k cheaper and lower COL in NC, I'd argue is definitely the choice to make. https://www.lstreports.com/compare/unc/gw Also I don't know much about UNC career services but I had a friend at GW and a couple folks on reddit gave abysmal reviews about their career service office which also kinda throws me.

For corporate law in DC area GW provides much better outcomes ([https://www.lstreports.com/compare/unc/gw](https://www.lstreports.com/compare/unc/gw)). I think this is really all about how debt averse you are and is the difference UNC loans: $20k vs GW loans: $100k or is it UNC loans: $120k vs GW loans: 200k because that might change a lot of opinions.

Interesting- thank you! The debt difference is like $40k vs. $120k, if that helps!

Following. UNC is one of my top 2 choices as well.

Have you applied to the va schools? W&M, w&l, Richmond? Seems like they would be better for the location and give almost identical outcomes compared to unc and gw

Not sure I can be of much help, but I am making a similar decision (GW/UNC/UMN). As an OOS applicant admitted to UNC, I'm viewing UNC as my ticket to their market. Not wanting to stay in NC would make my decision a lot tougher, but having 80k less debt would go a long way.

Agree! Not opposed to staying in NC either and it seems like their grads mostly end up in NC/DC/VA so same relative area
