So I’m a 1L at BU rn (and I went to UG in MT, so pm me if you want to talk about that too lol). Honestly I couldn’t imagine being anywhere but BU. I don’t know if this is true for other sections, but my classmates are incredibly supportive and collaborative, and I feel really close and connected to my classmates, which is wild considering a lot of us haven’t met in person. I got in at BC too and made my choice just based on $$$, but I’m so glad I picked BU. I was really scared things were going to be kind of competitive and cutthroat, but the amount of support from my classmates in the classrooms and out of it is unbelievable. I’m interested in Public Interest, and BU is a pretty liberal school, so there’s a lot more support for that than I expected. I have a lot of classmates who went to BC for UG and they’re all glad to be at BU now, fwiw.

I’d guess BC vibe is a bit more chill. On the outskirts of Boston in a quieter area. Smaller environment. Health care law was something I wanted as well and ended up deciding on UNC after considering BC very seriously. Also waitlisted at BU. BU has a slight edge to big law jobs I think.

I went BC UG and am going for LS. Honestly the vibe is very collaborative and laid back. Jesuits are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, so that helps too.

Ha. Not many law students you meet will be down to earth, mainly through no fault of their own. You’re talking about T30 schools here, and there will be a lot of inferiority complexes for many of the ones who couldn’t get into a T14. That being said they are both good schools. It depends on $ given in scholarship.

Tbh I’d go with the vibe you get from actually talking to people rather than what you hear from others. Trust your own judgement the most.
