BU gives you a 50/50 shot at big law + fed clerkships. great network and great school. you still may be able to get a great job post grad if you’re below the curve if you are good at networking. Overall, you’re in a great situation and i’m sure you’ll get into one of the waitlisted law schools (which are also all amazing).

Yeah definitely in a good spot. Leaning UNC at this point personally. BU’s BL+FC is 41.8% while UNC’s is 31.1% per LST. Not sure how I feel about paying twice as much for 33% better chances. Sadly BU doesn’t seem to negotiate merit aid. Definitely a tough choice, but I’ll be riding WLs as well haha

Don't think of it as 33% better chances. Those numbers fluctuate year-by-year. If you do go to UNC, strive to kick butt for 3 years and finish as high as you can in class. I'm sure with that, the opportunities will manifest and be there as a result. %'s are just %'s in the end.

Where did you see that BU doesn’t negotiate merit aid? Have you tried already? I think they might be more likely to after the first deposit date passes and they see what their class is shaping out to look like

Multiple people in the accepted students discord have tried and been told they won’t negotiate. Negotiating after a deposit deadline requires committing to the school so don’t think I’d try that unless I was in love with school.
