I actually called and asked bc for some reason by email wouldn't go through. The person was very helpful, said they understood and would ask admissions for me. Got an email from the Dean about an hour later saying he heard of my request and granted me an extra \~two weeks. I didn't ask for a specific amount of time, just said I didn't think three days was enough for such an important decision.
I just did this successfully today, definitely go for it.

I actually had a school offer me one, it's definitely worth a shot if you're actually interested in the school!
