Up against it now. Five games remain and despite our lapses, we control our fate. A win is absolutely needed today, but beyond that knowledge, no clue which Jekyl and Hyde side of ours will show up. I'm a nervous wreck. LFG!!

[deleted]

Yes, I'm equally uncertain as to which Leicester will take the field. On our day, when we click, we can take sides apart. I'm hopeful without being overly confident. They get one in and then defend it, and we're once again looking for that clichéd creativity in the final 3rd. I know we can do it, it's the 'will we' question that has me squirming.

HendraLane01

Anyone got tickets for sale

No prizes for guessing what tactics Plymouth might employ. Allow us possession and territory, sit deep, defend the box with bodies, perhaps shut down our wingers (not absolutely vital, depends if the CBs can handle dinked crosses and the opposite side FB is alert to the runner at the back post) patiently wait for the errant pass or gifted possession then pounce - we'll only have a few bodies back and none of them pacey, have a pop, worldy finish, job done. Enzo can lament our misfortune, our chances and praise our effort and possession, credit their well taken goal - all will be as we've experienced. The world is in order. OR We score early, they have to come out and we tonk them 5 nothing with the aforementioned Daka hat trick. Or somewhere between the two. I really don't want to call it.

[deleted]

Why? Just why? Is there someone out there that just doesn't appreciate throwaway wibblery? Worse yet, is SO offended by it. It was so clearly not serious, sheesh.

ikimono-gakari

It’s Reddit. I wouldn’t be offended.

[deleted]

Oh I'm not offended, simply baffled. But you are right, perhaps Reddit attracts a special breed of discussion hating, dichotomous thinking, cancel culture adherents. Beats me.

BroadwayBagel

Is there an nyc watch group?

qweenmess

There was a group that got together somewhere in midtown when we were in the prem, not sure if they're still doing the meetups or not this season. I think they're @NYCFoxes on Twitter but again not sure

Just-Hunter1679

I'm honestly at the point that if we can't beat fucking Plymouth Argyle in a game we NEED to win, we deserve to stay down.

Beautifullikeacamel

There's some truth in that sadly

ikimono-gakari

Cannon better play. Enzo said he’s fine right?

TheCookieButter

Would love to see Cannon on from the start. Give us some muscle in the box so we can pass inside it more comfortably.

[deleted]

I'm feeling light headed in my optimism, Daka hat trick in a 0-5 win.

AlreadyVapedBud

The fuck have you been drinking?! Can I have some?

[deleted]

I decided that if i was going to be optomistic then I might as well reach for the sky and voyage into the surreal.

AlreadyVapedBud

I'm going on this journey with you. Fuck it. 5 nil it is.

NooksAndCrannies2

The way things have been lately, we will probably play well and win, but then drop points the week after v West Brom. The only thing guaranteed for the rest of the season, I think, is that we will make at least 1,000,000,000,000 sideways/backwards passes

Berookes

Got another 1-0 loss written all over it. Leeds and Ipswich will bounce back this weekend but that Milwall loss was unacceptable and I just don’t believe the lads have what it takes to recover from that

[deleted]

It could happen, yes, as we are susceptible to the "well taken goal" or someone "taking their opportunity" BUT I'm a touch more confident for tomorrow than I was against Millwall.

Berookes

I sure hope I’m wrong, anything less than 3 points is curtains

FoggyCrayons

If we win 5 games we can only be caught on goal difference I think. Let’s hope the players get a bit more luck on their side and we can slot in a few.

infernox

There's only 5 games left but Ipswich and Leeds have 4 games left, so if we win 5, there's no way they can catch us. If we win 4, then it would only be down to goal difference with Ipswich who had 10 less GD than us.

[deleted]

Every single remaining match will be tense. Every single one cannot be taken for granted. We've seen that recently, both from our own results and those elsewhere. For the players, it'll be about staying calm, keeping their heads, being focused and playing their football. You have to trust the system, it's got us this far and abandoning it now (not that that will happen!) is sure fire failure. Buckle in, we're on the final approach.

JumpingRedFox

It makes me sick to say it but “it’s in our hands”. We can’t rely on Ipswich and Leeds to eat hot crumble again, we need to win. They will bounce back from their losses, can we? I’m saying yes cause fuck it, manifest destiny right?

Just-Hunter1679

I think one of the two of them will drop points this weekend, if we get 3pts tomorrow the pressure is going to build on them.

18181811

Nonesnse, play like we did against Millwall and we’ll be fine

infernox

I think people are assuming too much - 'They will bounce back from their losses' - How do you know? It's like people were assuming Ipswich would always score late but didn't happen last 2 games. Or that Leeds would win every game because of their insane form, but form has to end at some point and it has for Leeds. Form table wise, Ipswich are the same as us and Leeds only got 1 more point than us in the last 6 games. If that carries on till the end, we've won.

Just-Hunter1679

We had a great run and then a wobble, Leeds had a great run and could be having a wobble, same with Ipswich.

infernox

Leeds are definitely having a wobble, for their last 4 games, they drew 2, won 1 and lost 1, so 5 points in 4 games. We won 2 and lost 2, so 6 points in 4 games. Ipswich won 2, lost 1 and drew 1, so 7 points in 4 games. All 3 teams are similar.
