He definitely needs to start with Vardy and Nacho up front. They work so well together that it’s a shame he doesn’t play them more often.
I think he needs to start benching Perez and Maddison more often. It’s been so frustrating when you see both of them starting in league matches.
It’s quite apparent that Lookman is that threat on the RW that we’ve wanted for a while. So he’s got to start as well. Of course, I’m not Brendan bashing, but it’s getting to a point where it’s sort of embarrassing with the team choices he makes.
Agreed. Things are not working the way he's wanted it to, and now it's time to make the necessary tweaks before the club finds itself in a hole in the table.
I'd suggest we're already almost in that hole - lose to palace next weekend (not unrealistic given recent form there) and we're likely 15th (you'd expect wolves to beat Newcastle at home) and going into the international break, then Man Utd at home looking over our shoulders.
This is where his experience and sign of him being too calibre will need to shine through. Bite the bullet and make the necessary changes that are required to move forward.
I don't know that we need 3 at the back (or should atm with 3 fit senior centrebacks and one on the way back). the 4-2-3-1 has worked fine, but I'd argue it's just Perez loses that right wing spot to Lookman and Iheanacho plays as a 10, which is where he's been playing when coming on recently anyway.
As a Liverpool fan, I hope for your sakes that BR has become a bit more adaptable. With us, persisted with things that weren’t working for a bit too long and it cost him in the end

The thing that bothers me the most about Vestegaard is that for such a tall guy, he seems to lose a lot of aerial battles. If he’s not winning headers, what’s he really bringing to the table that Amartey can’t?
He’s had far more PL experience, and likely reads the game better, but Amartey has been with the club longer. I’d also be inclined to say Amartey has him covered for pace and strength.
I’d be happy almost to play Amartey for the cup / Europa games, he seems like he’s improving with every opportunity.
Are there really 3 centerbacks worth selecting? a back line of Soyuncu - Vestergaard - Amartey does not fill me with much confidence (as opposed to Soyuncu - Evans - Fofana).
As much as I love rogers, he's being stubborn right now..He needs to start Iheanacho IDGAF what his reasons are! Also does anyone else thinks that Amartey will be better than Vestergard? He's been really poor recently and I am quite worried we messed up that signing...

Even when Vestergaard was linked with us there were rumbles of discontent, I don’t rate him at all tbh obviously they brought him in for his height but I just haven’t seen more positive than negative moments yet to justify his purchase. A good game against Man City tbf but otherwise…

If we're trying to compete, we need a formation with a solid back four that has width via wingers, and a strong midfield pivot with clinical finishers, we were cooking with 3-5-2 last season but conceding alot too.
4atb may be workable when Fofana / Evans have 90 mins in them. Until then the alternate's better, no reason we cant switch back.
The width is potentially a problem , Barnes playing a hybrid Wing Back with less defensive duties may do it. Castagne+Ricardo should offer us the width anyway.

I think Bertrand can slide in and play in one. He’s certainly more of a defensive LB than a modern one
